Nice to know that EDF is it's lovable old self 
Consider that this article was probably submitted sometime shortly after Kali rollout. At this time the ASCN/BoB war was in full swing, and ASCN was most certainly deserving small digs like this since their fleet performance was abyssmal.
Whether the editor of the magasine should have edited it out is a matter of personal opinion. I really don't mind small things like this in a mag (and I laugh even more if they're anti-BoB), since they add a bit of life and personality to the mag. If things are kept boringly politically correct, it'd be duller reading.

So, let me get this straight.
Eve forums, is a public place. Its not ok to make a, maybe arrogant, joke about ASCN in public? But it is ok to yell out loud to someone that he is an idiot (with a capital I) and that he is immature ,ignorant and paranoia?

I'm not going to get upset of this, its a game after all.
But this does go to show how the community of the game is devolving. As cool as Eve is now - it was a much better game the first year when people were generally respectful to eachother.
I've said it over and over - and you can't deny it either - This game's player base has become full of degenerate A-holes that just ruin it with their immaturity. Its one of the reasons I barely read these forums anymore.
For example: There was a time when you could kill someone and both parties say good fight - or nothing at all and go on with life. Will almost never happen anymore.
Anyway - how sad to hear many of you not realizing this, and supporting the unneccessary actions of so many others. Just a downward slope these days and it will only get worse.
Is it really so hard to say "Yeah, that was kinda unneccessary" and move on? You gotta work to keep your community respectful to eachother and not let these little things go by without comment.

First as to how eve was the first year we had the same thing
just not in the same scale since at prime times we peeked about 3-5k.
Damion rayne is this really something to get hung up about.
Like people before me have said why dont you take the time to write an article yourself.
Eve if you havent notice is design so that you can lie steal infiltrate that's what makes this game great.
what i love about eve is that it aint like no other game if you die you lose **** loads.
how funny would it be if it be like wow you just go resurecct havent lost a thing death has no impact on you.
the game has always been like this so why bother bringing it up now ye that's why you play it.
or you can always join bob's youth program
Just let it go play the game the way it's design eve is a pvp game you build mine so that you can pvp

Several times I started getting shot by 1-2 people in the middle of the fleet battle, but never more then that. Also managing to lose 60 bs and not kill a single one says it all.

Nah they don't have skill for T2 Guns so they couldn't hit BoB fleet on 170 km rofl (honor to exceptions)

You just didn't get to kill many because there'd be instant panic whenever we'd throw our fleet at yours and lock up a few of you, or put interdictor bubbles all over your BS gang. Your support warping out to avoid get DD'd doesnt help much with killing enemy BS either ofc :p
Anyway, no need to rehash this all. We've gone over it and anyone still feeling like they got cheated or lamed out of doing better need to get their heads examined.

On the topic of primaries: altho flying a sniper bs in a fleet battle looks like a simple task, if you have never done it before and overview has 50+ names and lagging you will probably end up locking some random thing and firing.
Before the war started, no effort had been done to make sure everyone had a basic knowledge about fleet pvp. I think we went thru the killmails of a small sniper engagement with Fitz once (like about 10 sniper BSes involved per side) and less than half our BSes where on the killmail of the first boblet that went down during the fight.

Those sort of things are to be expected when you are on the losing end of any competition.
At the end of the day, I know that I put up the good fight from start to finish along with many many others that fought on the battlefield beside me. Where there issues?...of course but as a whole ASCN consisted of more then the battle which created this decline. I understand good and bad things have been said and done. Nevertheless, I can say I am proud of the accomplishments and will learn from the negatives moving forward.
