Hi All,
Keep on getting the below error when launching EVE, your assistance will be much appreciated.
The application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "Windows"
Thanks

Thanks The error message sounds like you are missing some of the Windows components. If you have installed EVE previously in a directory and it worked then you should check that your WINEPREFIX variable is set accordingly. If it is a new installation then make sure you got all the required Windows components installed before you install EVE.
Let us know how it goes as well as what distribution you are using, the WINE version and which graphics drivers.

Tried running it via the CLI and QUI.
Loaded the :
corefonts d3dx9_36 vcrun2005 vcrun2008 vcrun2010 vcrun2013
Anything else perhaps that is missing?

"Loading" something usually is not enough.
I believe you need some overrides at least for the new launcher. |

Bleh, think it is because I'm running a 64 bit setup here. Using WINE 64 bit does not help and not sure if the 32 bit WINE version will work either.

If it is a Debian-based distro then you would first need to tell it to recognize 32-bit packages with:
$root> dpkg --add-architecture i386
Then it will let you install the 32bit version of wine.
Here is a description of the steps needed for Debian that had worked for me.
