I've always had some form of disagreement with E-R's lack of attention span, but it was always so much fun flying with them that it didn't matter in the end.
Akoudoulos summed it up pretty well on our behalf as a corp.
For me, it's been one hell of a ride and i was never the most active of people, the best fighter or the one who topped the killboard. For all our shortcomings, we had a special and nowadays rare case of "fk that" attitude that always managed to get us places, even if it wasn't for long.
Alongisde E-R we've done almost everything this game has to offer, we only excelled in a few of it, but we've always had fun doing it and when the fun stopped and boredom started to set in we would go off to do something else. Our lack of consistency was the one single thing that bugged me to hell, but i can't hold it against anyone of the guys. It was their game and it was my choice to tag along with them and play this way, that means for me they were doing something right.
At a certain point in the game i was about to quit EvE altogether and the only thing that prevented me was Parity's screaming on voice comms, Naruto Hunter's cynical remarks, Lunas's drunken "we're gonna pwn them guys, jump in" comments which usually ended with us barely winning the fight, Cartiff's famous last words like "That vaga has snakes, he's faster than my Crow...ok,he's all over me,i got him webbed and scrambled" and countless hours of amazing drunken ramblings on Vent/TS.
E-R was never meant to be the most efficient, most destructive or richest corp in EvE, but in my eyes it was an overachiever...an overachiever in the fun department. Virtual money, stat whoring, assets and territory never meant jack to us all, having fun as part of our small community was always what it was all about and we always played the game with our own set of rules in mind. Success was never measured by stations, isk or killboards, it was always measured by the amount of people splitting their sides laughing on voice comms and other people's rules didn't matter squat to us.
I am extremely privileged to have known these guys. I even feel like i've known most of the guys in RL, heck, we were even discussing a possible RL meet in one of the Greek islands at some point (Lixor get your hotel rooms ready  )
I also feel kind of sad to see the name pass into the history books. Not because of anything else, the people will always be around and we will keep in touch via forums and ingame. What slightly saddens me is to see one of the last perfect embodiments of a pure nomad tribe philosophy corp slip away into the sands of time. I seriously hope the small corps all over the game will carry over with the torch, no matter which side of our guns they've faced in the past. Play the game for yourself and not for the community's comments, resist the blobs, carve your own destiny and stick it to the big guys any change you get.
What happened is not in my eyes simply the outcome of RL pressure on our leads. It's the result of the way the game is changing, moving on to bigger things all the time and pushing the small groups into the corner. E-R chose to ignore this while having full knowledge of it, they payed the price for their choice and still they had fun every single step along the way. For me that's what it's all about, swimming upstream against the prevailing trend of things and for that i thank you guys for having us along for an awesome 2 year ride.

Above all else it's always been fun guys. Better to go out now rather than to fade into something that isn't...well isn't e-r . So very apt that the final action of E-R should be jumping into superior numbers and having a blast no matter the outcome.
Unfortunately rl work and (impending) baby pressures have limited my play time (in a good way ) for a while now but I'll always have the fond memories.
A big thank you to all friends and enemies and especially to Maza and Black Lance too who have always been with us one way or another.
A selection of some of the things I'm going to miss are:
- the constant contest of whether E-R gang members were more drunk than Maza gang members were stoned
- Cartiff scrambling targets anything up to 10 jumps away from the fleet then calling for immediate backup
- Lunas's spelling (ecksperiance anyone?) - which actually seemed to get better the more drunk he was
- finding a fight at all costs
- the members of e-r which made it the fun place it was to be! |

Was probably the best pvp corp in EvE in it's peak (and there has been a few times i felt it really was going well) Shame to close it down, but i agree with the reasons, close knit group of pvpr's is deffo more fun although trying to find a good corp to fight is hard as you lack either numbers or good enemys.

First time I've ever posted on these forums but I wanted to say a big Thank you to Cartiff, Alpha and all the E-R boys for the past year and a bit - its been excellent fun and I can't imagine playing the game without you so maybe its time I got a life eh? 
Anyway Good Luck to all you crazy mofo's both in game and in RL.
I feel priviledged to have known and flown with you and shall miss you all..
