I've never used the contract system, but I would imagine that the items don't just 'materialize' into your cargo hold nor are they delivered by the game (NPC "UPS"). So they would end up in your hanger at the station they were originally in. |

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format.

Message when trying to put "Capital Parking Ticket" into, cargo hold of ship, giant secure container, freight container.
Information - This item cannot be put into cargo containers
Then tried each of the other "trinkets" and got the same message each time.
I thought this may be an error with this character, so tried the same with 3 of my others, with the same result.

When children are ungrateful and do not appreciate their parents presents, they stop getting presents.
When CCP gave Holiday Gits that were useful people whined and wanted ridiculous stuff like free Battleships instead. Sooo ... now you only get presents that have no mechanical benefit in game. Get over it. |

I discovered the items today in the redeeming system, i like the gesture and say "Thank you".
It's strange that people complain about a non-harming gift.
If you like the gift, redeem it. If you don't like it, trash/ignore it silently. "Problem" solved.

Yes, we are indeed subscribers / customers of a business. I get what I pay for (access as far as is reasonable to the game - and really they do a fairly decent job at that compared to the online game market as a whole - as clearly stated in the EULA we all agreed to), do you?

At no point in the EULA does it say "CCP will give free stuff to useless pilots who are not capable of earning it themselves so they can get lots of EPEEN without effort and be awesome" .
- The most sensible move CCP could make is never give gifts at all.
- Making the gifts mechanically useless is an OK compromise.
- Giving away stuff like Gecko just created a sense of entitlement and engendered huge thread-naughts with spoilt people demanding more.
