Web drones were awesome for me, totally secured the win against slower BS such as megas, and helps against smaller, faster ships. Just orbit at optimal, and activate the win.
EDIT: Skill wise, you need good nav skills, navigation 5 is very useful, and acc. control to 3 at least, gives good boost. You can expect about 2.5km/s with named mwd, and local/beta hull nano and istab. That goes up to about 3.5-4, or more, with faction equipment and rigs.
Be wary of tacklers and other nano ships, those are your only problems. Everything else dies, really. Don't forget to put your TP on whatever you're torping.

Edited by: Larkonis Trassler on 20/01/2007 16:26:26 Before it died due to a CTD warping to a gate which a gank squad just jumped through resulting in the loss of my ship and pod for some reason :(...
4x Arby Siege (usually loaded with Inferno Torps but all other damage types carried), 4x Heavy Nos (Best named) 20k, Heavy Electrochemical, Gist X Type MWD, 'Utility Slot' Usually filled with a Target Painter but in my cargo bay I'd also carry ECCM, Sensor Booster, extra 20k, Tracking Disrupter. These would get swapped out threat dependent if I had an incling of what I was facing. Lows 2x Local Hull Istabs, 3x Local Hull Nanos, BCS II, True Sansha RCU
Drones: Suit to taste, I had 10x Hammer IIs, 5x ECM Meds (for cruise ships and anything with guns that could track me), 5x Hobgoblin IIs (for inties). I got tired of having to leave Ogres behind when the going got tough. With the Hammers if I had the time I could fly out to 100km from the target, hit recall, fly towards them and scoop them and head off. Having two waves also meant I could send more out if some got popped or I had to bug out in a hurry.
With LG Snakes and Hardwirings got just shy of 5km/s. Haven't tried the MWD rigs yet.
Bump away from station gate (I've bumped BCs up to 80km in one go). Optimal default orbit is 12km, this keeps you at about 19km from the target. Activate scram and nos. Spam Torps, deploy drones, go make a sammich. ------------ Crow Squad... An Audio and Visual Joygasm by Larkonis Trassler |

op+ti+mal adj. Most favorable or desirable; optimum.
Seeing as you want to be out of web, in range of nos, and not totally borderline scram range, the optimal of a nanophoon without faction is about 17km.

Wow, people actually realize this now.
Yes, your efficient nanoship will cost you quite a bit :)

Yup, just like with every other ship in EVE lot of money can buy you better performance than what you get with regular gear.

Except that the performance increase to ISK ratio on a nanoship is about 2-3 times as big as with other ships.

Well, a officer fitted ship usually can't escape bubblecamps for one.
