ASCN while defunct refuses to be like other Alliances who lose and then hang onto a name like it was the holy writ. ASCN as an alliance is no longer and rides into the sunset with our heads held High. ASCN would like to thank it enemies for causing the complete and utter demise of the Alliance over time. -G-, IMP, D2, E-R, IRON, AAA, FA, PA, RAZOR, NBSI, TRUST, and the countless pirate corps over time. ASCN Formally Surrenders to the Privateers even though your war with us is over your depredations have caused us undue stress and we can no longer maintain the alliance.
ASCN Would like to thank its allies and Member Corporations too. Without our members, friends, and long time enemies we would have been less than we were(Even you Olyyy). Judge ASCN not by it's individuals, it's Leaders, or it's Corps but by what was achieved by the whole in a short span of time.

A pleasure flying with you, and good luck in the future. ASCN was a great alliance, but like all it had its faults.
Well done for what you did, first outposts, biggest alliance, first titan, all very impressive that dont fade with the death of the alliance.

I was with ASCN from the beginning and I have to say that nobody has yet to accomplish what we did in our space. The first outpost, the first titan, the number of outposts. We may have lost it all, but our footprint is forever left in the EVE universe.
Thanks, from a PVPer, for all the fights brought to us in our space. I had a blast, I hope to see you in a future contract.

The Ascendancy was born out of war and designed to follow a greater path. Our Dream, was a dream shared by all those in New Eden. The creation of an Empire, free from the ravages of greed and the importance of social rank. A dream to build an Empire where all Citizens are equal under the law, where all have a voice to be heard and all work for the greater good of their fellow citizen.

GL. ASCN did put up a fight which is more then can be said about most. Learn from your mistakes and don't allow the same mistakes be made in the future. This war was really a lesson for rest of EVE. The ones that learned are adjusting, the ones that turned a blind eye and are continuing to get fat and lazy, well, see you in local soon and later in empire. Oh, and on the forums, of course.
The truth will set you free

Ordinarily i would accept that, but one did not want to be so anal as to alphabtize them to the second letter (nor could i in my current state of cannabis enduced semi coma), obviously i assumed that you'd find some little whole to distract form the fact that what i said was perfectly true. Keep ducking and diving son.
As for thanking alliances, that had nothing to do with the end conflict (correct me if im wrong, but without BOB there would be no need for this post?) just serves to show your bitterness and rather misguided assumption that we'd all help. but meh i know you cant deal with these pretty evident truths, so i'll leave you for now.

ASCN was great fun while it lasted. However, I will ask the question again. How are the Alliance assets going to be split fairly between the people who bankrupted themselves by fighting for ASCN on the front line?

Now where shall we start then?
Lets start with something that everyone knew about. the 10/10 plex funded Alliance Dreads, that was the official line. Where did the dreads go, since the ZYD plex in paragon were run twice daily and a half run inbetween. This ment nobody got a shot at it, but thats ok, because in the event of an invasion, all those lovely dreads would be coming out, funded by the alliance...... And no - virtually every dread fielded was either Corp or Personally funded - Not alliance funded. And not everyone that lost a dread got it replaced either!
And the "it went on the Titan" exceuse does not count - The Titan mineral supply was collected over a year ago, before the plex became relevant and then again via refinery tax's more recently, which was enough to build another 2 titans according the CYVOK himself.

The amount is irrelevent. I dont want any isk out of it. If there was any decency left, then insted of pocketing the remaining assets, just liqudate them and pay people on the ascn killboard that lost ships.
The issue is not the value of embezelment, but rather the issue of accountability and reputation. That is worth more than any isk value. We have heard of corp theft but alliance theft is another game altogether

OK well once you find evidence of this embezelment, and the names of the peoples/corps that carried it out, CLS lost 4 outposts, they funded entirely on their own please factor this in when dividing up those assets. Remember to deduct insurance payouts on those ships and the fact that in a lot of corps losing a BS was almost profitable at the prices they were available at.
Or just move on and accept that there was nothing substantial left at an alliance level. If you can't let it go you will end up like one of those slavering trolls that keep thinking there were Xetic minerals that they were somehow due a share in.
I doubt many corps can complain that they lost out from being in ASCN. I can think of 4 of the newer corps (WOT/ARSC/TBMC/SPECIES) that maybe didn't get everything they deserved out of ASCN but again I wouldn't like to think they lost out drastically. |

So what you are saying is that ASCN either has
1. No Assets, despite being a industrial powerhouse the like of which eve has never seen, despite only sending out a fraction of its assets to the battlefield? 2. No Accountability for the above?
Again - I dont expect anything nor would I wish a single isk while people lost everything they earned being meatshields need it more.
The truth is - There is no accountibility, nor any recognition of compensating the meatshilds that were in the front line every day. All the assets that the ordernary man works their ass out for are in the pockets of the few.
You see, if you rob a corps hangers, then you are a corp theif, lowest of the low. But if you rob Alliance Assets, and pocket them as a individual or as a corp, that deserves no respect.

1. Not at an alliance level. Individual corps in ASCN were industrial powerhouses, and this was due to their own assets, not anything that was funded by the alliance. Fly through Feythabolis again some time. The alliance assets are still there. They just have different banners and you can't dock at them now.
2. Wish the civis site was still up, that way I could just link to the post about what is expected of corps that joined ASCN.
Again, if you present some evidence of someone who lost everything, or a corp or person who ripped everyone in the alliance off then I'll join you in not respecting them or feeling sorry for them but just now you are making baseless accusations against anonymous persons |

Thank you. If you need to see people who lost everything, then please refer to the killboards. Pay attention to the capital ships lost and how many got replaced by the alliance (not the corp - the alliance). Without naming names, there are people given up on expecting anything back for their personally funded capital ships used in alliance ops.
But back in point, lets look at the 10/10 Plex in ZYDA. It was run twice daily, with a half run inbetween every day for almost 9 months. Thats enough isk to pay for 150-200 dreads. Lets just say 100 dreads worth of isk for sake of argument, assuming the plex droped basically nogning good for 9 months. Everyone was told it was for purely funding alliance dreads. So my question is, where is the accountability since it appears that there alliance funded dreads either did not exist, or were built and pocketed. And like I said, the Titan minerals was done over a year ago, and then on top of this, according to CYVOK, there was enough minerals for 2 titans in refinery taxes. So the plex for sure did not fund any Titan project. (though we know where 1 Titan's worth of minerals went, not so sure about what happened to the other 2 titan minerals worth)
Again - I dont want a single isk - If ASCN calls other people slaves, then it is only fitting that this issue gets out into the open, and things that the alliance benifited as a whole should not be pocketed by the few.

Please excuse the religious references, if you will, but I thought it relevant
"The Angel of Death has been abroad throughout the land. You may almost hear the beating of his wings. There is no one as of old to sprinkle with blood the lintel and the two sideposts of our doors, that he may spare and pass on."
Dona Nobis Pacem
"We looked for peace, but no good came, and for a time of health, and behold trouble!
The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan; the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land...and those that dwell therein...
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved... Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?"

It is your right of course to post your thoughts and feelings, however little they actually pertain to the thread .
So please take your time reading and posting your meaningless prattling here. Your going to anyway and I am not one to stand in a persons way. Especially when said person's own Text belies the ignorance inherent on these forums.
You have also not added anything relevant to the thread with your last post either. Other than you intolerance to another persons whimsy.

He has a point. I was IN the alliance and I'm tired of rehashing all this garbage. It's over, consider the goodbyes said, stop announcing ASCN is dead, cause we've known it for the better part of a month.
It's like standing over the corpse of a loved one for weeks after the funeral and regularly announcing to passersby "I just checked and he's still decomposing!" Maybe it makes you feel better but to the rest of us it's just bad taste.

Traditionally, when an alliance falls, it isnt. Whatever is left over gets split up amongst the few people who have access to it. If its not in your hanger / wallet right this second, I wouldnt expect to see anything ever. Suck it up and move on.

Actually - If you read my posts - It is not about isk - Its about this thread being full of a bunch of goody two-shoes patting themselves in the back over a vision of what they did was great.
However, what they did was in the same league as corp theift. I have already Stated that I do not want any isk, and further up the page I have already said that I dont beleive that anyone would get a penny.
The issue is not isk - The issue is to serve as a warning to future players that these motly crew will, like french aristrocrats just before the revolution, suck your blood dry then proclaim that you are part of a civalized society in 0.0, unlike those slaves working with those barbarian hordes. And even after the revolution, they still pat themselves on the back thinking that they were right all along even though they got kicked out of their homes!
Heck, of course the Alliance assets were pocketed. Of course nobody who fought for ascn will get to see a penny of it. Thats life. But what is beggers belief is that insted of shame and keeping quiet about pocketed assets, there is this disgraceful back patting exercise to further build their egos!
The point is simple - The PVPers of ASCN - You lost pretty much everything you owned on the front line. You would have been better off mining veldspar in a ibis, and end up richer than you did with ASCN. These guys honer you by running a back patting exercise while refusing to recognise your sacrifice. That is the point.

You would have been better off mining veldspar in a ibis, and end up richer than you did with ASCN. These guys honer you by running a back patting exercise while refusing to recognise your sacrifice. That is the point.
Yea, I understand your pain and you have a good point. However, you have been warned many times, by me or by many others (of course you thought it was propaganda) that usually the leaders that run an alliance and are not on the front lines will start planning their escape strategies as soon as they see the beginning of the end, but continue to encourage their troops to fight on. You should have been asking these questions before the war even started or at least some time during the war. Not now, after everything is gone.
Yes, they took it all with them, sold it, traded it to their alts, started new corp/alliance with it. It's gone. Don't blame anyone else accept yourselves for not asking these questions before or if you didn't get a strait answer, for fallowing those leaders in the first place. You were warned and you chose to dismiss it. DonÆt cry about it now. Just donÆt let it happened to you again.
The truth will set you free

This made me laugh.
Let me try and word this in a way that will make most sense to you.. Your interest in ASCN.. may not have been a wise or secure investment.
You want insurance in the future? Should've paid more attention to our offers...

Um ya, i agree. ASCN was dead a looooooooooong time before this post ever came about, just because CLS was the executor corp and has decided to ditch the name doesnt mean anything..
ASCN died when bob invaded.. Lets face it

You and your corp are both relatively new to ascn so your ignorance is expected if somewhat less than forgivable.
While I won't speak directly for anybody, as a long time corp leader and a medium term member of alliance leadership I know enough about alliance operations to tell you that there was no significant stash of 'alliance assets'. CYVOK never asked for anything without a specific immediate planned expenditure in mind. If you point at something like a 60bil titan bpo set, I'll just scoff at it and laugh it off as insignificant. Syncore -- the smallest corp in the alliance -- probably mined 240bil in its final six months, and a 1/20 share of anything that might have remained is meaningless. I couldn't care less about any particular asset and who wound up with it. If CLS wound up with it, then its final disposition is of concern only to CLS, not some 1-bit member of some 2-bit corp that came in at the end. I know that won't shut you up. but that's just the way it is.
If you're feeling especially poor and bitter about it... point the hard questions at your own corp leadership. It's quite interesting how dramatically crappy leadership affects the well being of the rank and file.

It appears that if you bothered to read the thread - my point was nothing to do with isk. It was about these guys running a back patting ego-trip exercise in this thread.

1a. A ship needs to dock at a station to be insured. 1b. Titans can't dock. 1c. You do the math.
2. Default payment would have gone to CYVOK, no clue as to where it went, and frankly, its irrelevant.

The old Xetic was (on the whole) incompetently led. ASCN jumped ship and succeeded it, and were also badly led. If a few corps from ASCN form a new Xetic, I can't see that situation improving.

Traditionally, when an alliance falls, it isnt. Whatever is left over gets split up amongst the few people who have access to it. If its not in your hanger / wallet right this second, I wouldnt expect to see anything ever. Suck it up and move on.
Sorry. :(
This might not happen this way, but that is usually how it goes when alliances split.
Thats life. But what is beggers belief is that insted of shame and keeping quiet about pocketed assets, there is this disgraceful back patting exercise to further build their egos!

the Eve Galaxy is going to be gouverned by the Evil side ... and Pirate corp implies no industry and the disaster will come ........... and hurt all of us.
