I'm making a new thread for this so that hopefully people see it before they complain about things being broken.
The 1.1.8 release has completely overwhelmed our server. The network card has officially moved from "can fry egg" to "can melt steel". The administrators at battleclinic have throttled our bandwidth - in evemon, this manifests itself as evemon simply not downloading the new version. When you get the autoupdate dialogue, if nothing seems to happen when you click update, please just hit "remind me later" and catch the udpate next time around.
Thanks for using EVEMon! ------ {o,o} (__(| -"-"- EVEMon - The open source Jamaican wiseman. |

I figured as much. Thanks for the info.
And thank you to all involved in the programming. I'd be lost without it running 8 accounts.

I have saved a copy on my website.
This copy was downloaded from the official evemon website, you only have my word that it has not been altered, only use it if you trust me not to have altered it.

Edited by: Tunajuice on 23/01/2007 05:33:02 A mirror from me.. if the authors or ccp doesn't want me to have it, I can take it down.. if not I'll leave it up for 72 hours. Check md5 etc. etc., but this is what I got off battle clinic earlier today.

The new clones with implants feature rocks, I have been missing a feature like this since CCP stripped implants from the XML file.
The only issue I seen is that the suggested training skills aren't added in the most optimal order.
Keep up the good work and get those skill icons upgraded SoonÖ

(Nice update BTW! Thanks for the hard work!)

Got a question: What is the difference between, normal evemon version and the cutting-edge one? Links lead to the same d/l and there is no explanation on the site that I can see...

Right now, there is no difference, all our work has gone into 1.1.8. In a week or two, we'll make enough changes to release 1.1.9 as a cutting edge version. ------ {o,o} (__(| -"-"- EVEMon - The open source Jamaican wiseman. |

Guess I was one of the lucky ones, downloaded fine for me (HA!)
New version rocks, I think you guys did an awesome job, especially with cleaning up the ship/item browser section (LOVE the Compare feature too)
Love the filter in the ships section thats displays all the ships I can fly....really makes all my cross-training pay off to see a huge list like that hehehe
I love it so much I've even taken you off my "Pod Mercilessly" list......

You're quite right. At the moment, the order of the learning skills is static. However, they should be very close to what is the optimal order. If that's not the case, I'd be happy if you filed a ticket on our developer site describing your problem, and I'll take a look at it.
(Worth to note here is that the order suggested by Tripoli is not optimal.)

It's a problem at the xml generator at CCP's end. It seems the clock that uses isn't in sync with the EVE clock, which bizarrly isn't in sync with the time reported by the servers EVE runs on (if you look at the time at the bottom of EVEMon you'll see that's out too due to the servers EVEMon checks being out.) This is a known issue that I've filed a bug report for. Hopefully CCP will get it sorted at some point.
