I've just discovered the Retribution Assault Frigate and I have to say it struck me straight away as a beautifully shaped, sleek and very well rendered craft. In fact, I liked it so much I just had to buy one! Now beauty comes in many guises - delicate, well shaped, awesome, deadly, well engineered, powerful.... So what else is out there that you call 'beautiful'? What has caught your eye?

I still maintain it doesn't look like an armor tanking ship, feels too...dainty, for it to be a clunky armor tanked ship. Not a commentary on it's function, the design just screams shield tank to me. I really like the 'Battle Paddle' as well (Barghest). Oh, and the Drifter battleships (DROOL). There's others I really like, but it'd be a much longer list. These aren't ships but deserve a mention. WH space in general, in nature as well as the aesthetics, though C1, and 2s look crappy since the nebula change. The old ones were great all around (C1 and 2 actually looked good, blues and greens galore), but I really love the new C3 and above nebulae. Grrr.

It looks like a bird of Prey that eats other birds. One think I do know is many ships I absolutely despised I ended up loving after the many art updates. Maller, I don't know what they were thinking with the old version. New Maller = Smex. Caldari really went from meh to awesome with ship updates. I trashed my original Caldari character when I realized how crap all caldari ships looked and that ECM didn't work on npcs. (yea I was a newbie). Now instead of black with red stripe, and some really ugly hulls, they now look spectacular. Osprey has old look still, wondering when it will make the change to awesome. Blackbird and Moa, condor, kestral, Amarr crucifier so better. I can't rememeber what the old magnate looked like, only that it sucked horribad. Of all the ships in Eve Online, I don't think anyone would mistake a Sansha boat for friendly. If you looked out your shuttle window and saw a Phantasm on approach, you would have no doubt that bad tidings were afoot. Obviously the Blood Raiders paint jobs look scary- but their ship hulls just don't carry the same level of sheer menace as the Sansha. Both the Daredevil and Dramiel look vicious (and what do you know? Both ships are) The models for Rogue Drones are really cool too. Not only wonderfully organic in design but they have a lot of motion to the models, giving them an even more insectoid appearance.

While friendship is the best ship in Eve the OP asked strictly about aesthetics and with the "frienemy" situations that happen in Eve, friendship in this is not always pretty. I mean with women it's socially acceptable for them to kiss and hug each other without the assumption of anything sexual but with guys we have to either be fighting or in a homosexual relationship. There seem to be no way that western civilization deems acceptable to two grown men to show affeciton for each other that is not considered sexual thus the "Killing is Just a Means of Communication" love ballad that CCP put out. TL;dr Friendship still best ship.
