When I try to log into the test server I get crash to desktop, it occurs after character selection, I get the loading bars come up, then when they complete, just as the inside of the space staion should appear ctd occurs, it is instant no delays or error messages or anything, eve just closes.
This doesn't happen to me on tranquility. I know there was a patch for this over the holiday season, but as I didn't need it I didn't install it, so when I copy my eve installation to my test folder it isn't in there.
Should I try to patch my test installation with the christmas patch? or was the anti-ctd thing incorperated in the test patches?
I tried deleting the cashe contents but the same thing happened.
It is not a bad thing for me as I can still play on tranquility, but in the spirit of reporting bugs, I thought I had better mention it.

Same here. The client crashes to desktop with a warning from windows' Data Execution Prevention (DEP).
This happens under Vista RTM 64bits with the latest NVidia Drivers.

(can't find my mb spec but onboard sound disabled)

We don't currently Support Windows Vista so trying to connect with it is pretty pointless if it doesn't work.
as for the OP, please open the log server and file a bug report on this issue.

I have some problems aswell. Some times, when i warp to a FFA my computer restarts, i relog, the same, i relog again, again the same thing, making the game pretty much unplayeble. Seams i have this problem with some Sisi builds, so i`m not experincing it all the time. Any thoughts? Haven`t checked if i have the same problem with this build yet, i`ll check it after downtime.

However running Windows XP, I'm also getting these crashes to the desktop. I've just submitted a detailed bug report with log server output, dxdiag output and vivox log file. So hopefully you can spot the problem.
However after doing that I changed my Windows XP to enabled DEP (Data Exce... thingy). However since my CPU (Athlon XP 3200+) doesn't have hardware, windows would only run software DEP. After restarting windows for the effect, and testing EVE. I now get a dialog from Windows, that it has closed 'CCP Blue Framework' because of the DEP.
