Edited by: Darth Matt on 25/01/2007 04:11:21 is there any way to get help from an in game GM or customer support?
I tried the help channel, and all i get is "file a petition"
this is nice if i have a month to wait for an answer, but if i need help asap, how do i get help on serious problems with my account??
thanks all,

reimbursement petitions take a while. There are different petition types. If you're being harassed or someone is using an exploit then your petition will be reviewed in a relatively short period of time, especially things like harassment. Or, if you're having reall money problems with payments to your account or if some part of your account isn't functional. Explore the petition menu, and if you need help ASAP getting isk back for your BS that you lost because of lag then you'll have to wait it out.

It would definitely be nice if CCP had a paid staff for tech help, seems like they're cutting corners with the lack of customer support on staff. I mean, the ISD volunteers for the most part are great, but it's much nicer to have people on payroll who do it on a regular basis and on schedule. It must suck to be a CCP intern; a lot of them must be GMs dealing with people wanting their BS back lol.

File a petition. They send a response to your petition, and you can respond to their response through the petition system. Maybe not as simple as you want it to be, but it works.
And if it's really urgent, I'm sure you could ask them to start a convo with you in your petition and hope that they see it the same way you do.

You could try telling the forum your problem. Most people here will bash, flame, and sidetrack your problem to a PVP vs PVE vs WOW vs EVE vs carebear vs gankbear thing. But after all that, you'll get a good response or two that'll, if nothing else, let you know how successful a petition would be, or if it's even worth it.

If you file it under "Stuck Character" you get immediate response. Also it helps to be Caldari!

If you file a billing or reimbursement petition under "Stuck" it's likely going to be deleted, not answered sooner. You can't skip to the front of the line via incorrectly filed petitions. -- Lil Miner Newbie Skills Roadmap | How to Build from a BPO |

If it is related to the account (guessing it is either billing or suspension related), the method of choice for contacting support would be out of game trough email. Billing issues (like being double billed) in most games tend to be handled by a seperate staff from in game support (tracking exploits and reimbursing items requires a different skillset from managing debtors and tracking real world payments), while appeals to suspension tend to be handled directly by the executives of the customer support staff. In the latter case you would even have been informed in the suspension mail about this alternate contact channel for appeals.
If the issue is billing related, the contact page should be able to point you to the email addy. If it is an appeal to a suspension or banning, you should have gotten an email informing you of your options to debate the decission. Use that channel then. Account activation and trial status also fall under billing, so in that case go with the first option.

Yes, but thats not why you do it. It generally annoys people, and ensures that people that actually need help don't get the help they need. Thats the idea!

Just pull a Tom Cruise.
Go to Jita and yell "TECH SUPPORT!!!! TECH SUPPORT!!!!" someone will be with you shortly.
Seriously though, after writing a petition once I did actually encounter a dev (Mephysto) in a polaris frig asking me to show him the bug. This was a broken exploration site. ~~~~~~~~~ Caldari. So easy Minmatar can do it |

Dear Dath Matt,
I understand that you may be a bit annoyed by the lack of quick response but as with any support system, CCP need to prioritize the petition queue. If you are stuck, well there is not much you can do while if you lose a ship and file a refund petition you can still buy a new ship and continue to play. As said by other person, filling the issue on a different petition will not get your issue answered faster on the contrary.
