Economy/industry biased list:
1. Hub systems should exist - as in real life, there should be a place for them in EVE; the technical hardware/software architecture of EVE should be changed, to be able to support a limited number (5-10) of such hubs; artificially breaking them is short sighted - they will form elsewhere; people need them - just as in real life (I never heard of bulldozing highways to reduce traffic, and that's what is happening again in Revelations 1.3).
2. Market history exports - to ease the performance pain during uptime, they should be dumped incrementally for all items during downtime, and be downloadable via myeve; to encourage team efforts/development of external tools - the amount of history a player can download should be limited, possibly by skills.
3. Transaction history export - should be available; current (last few days) online, historical most probably not in game, but available for a limited time for download from myeve (generated during downtime).
4. New Player Experience - bringing new players to speed - in RL, as children we learn much faster than adults; new characters (or alternatively new accounts) should have a boost to learning speed (example: up to 1 month - 100%, up to to months - 90%, .... etc) - these should be on top of any learning skills new players train.
5. Journal export - should be available; current (last few days) online, historical most probably not in game, but available for a limited time for download from myeve (generated during downtime)
6. Formalized stock market - currently selling shares is like throwing them into a black hole; if the stock market is to grow, it needs tools.
7. Lvl 5 of skills should be treated only as a "booster" for specialisation - only the people who really want to specialise should be forced to train them - for example for giving an additional 2% boost in XXX attribute, or allowing to use the super-duper ship; Lvl 5 should never be the prerequisite for another skill, lvl 4 should be the highest prerequisite
8. Local chat - should not serve as recon, chat and recon roles should be separated.
9. POS defences - should be more controllable; skills could be introduced that improve effectiveness of POS defences when the player is in the POS.
10. Formalized and specialized interface for loans - I should be able to use my Obelisk BPO as collateral, but at the same time I should be able to use it for making money to repay the loan! So this particular BPO should be secured as collateral for the "bank" - if I fail to repay an installment, the "bank" has the option to take ownership of the collateral. Could probably be implemented with the use of contracts.
