I am currently trying to reproduce this issue in-house but I need your help.
I would like to ask you all to go in game on TQ and file a bug report by pressing F12 (look at the bottom for the 'Bug Report' button). Fill the report in with as much information as you can, it would also be extremely helpful if you could run logserver and attach the log file to the bug report next time you experience these issues.
You can find instructions on how to do this from: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bug_reporting#Getting_a_logserver_log
Please reply to this thread when you have filed a report so I know to keep an eye out for them. CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bug_reporting

I am just formalizing it into a concise defect report for one of the graphic programmers to take a look at.
I still havenGÇÖt been able to reproduce the issue on my laptop so I encourage everyone else who is experiencing the issue to take your lead and file a bug report! CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

I am still looking into this issue and we have a few leads but one thing I would like to ask people to do is update your INTEL drivers.
I noticed a few of you have out dated drivers, you can find the latest INTEL HD drivers from this link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx?lang=eng
Please reply to this thread if this resolves the issue for you. CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

Just updated to the last driver version but the problem persists.. crashes on eve client start and on each dock/undock and jump (same happens in wormholes too), it seems something related to the space environment loading.. Edit: stupid forum
Hi Cujoo. thanks for updating your drivers.
I would also appreciate it if you could try logging onto our Singularity test server to see if you still experience the same issues.

Hi everyone, so after 3 long days of trying to reproduce this issue on our test machines (Yes I'm trying on the INTEL HD chipset) I am still unable to reproduce this issue.
However our graphics programmers have made various graphics related fixes that may have a positive impact on your issue.
Their fixes are currently on the Singularity test server and I would like to ask any of you that are experiencing this issue to please connect to Singularity and reply to this thread if your issue has been fixed.
To connect to Singularity follow these instructions: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Sisi_Launcher
I will continue to look into this issue CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

Thanks for checking MJ Incognito,
Could you please do the following:
1. Go to your laptop control panel 2. Click on the 'Intel Graphics & Media' section 3. Go to Options & Support then Information Center
At the bottom of that section you should see the Processor Graphics name. i.e. Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
Please type which HD model you have.
If anyone else is experiencing these issues please complete the above and post your GPU model number in this thread. CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

Max Thunderbird wrote:After getting to Information Center there is not a line that begins "Processor Graphics Name".
With System Information displayed (not monitor) the first line in the top box reads Intel HD Graphics (Core I3)
Down a number of lines beside Processor it reads Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 5
In a box below that one beside Accelerator in Use it reads Intel(R) HD Graphics
Singularity wants 10 hours or so to DL, so as bad as I want this fixed I need my PC for other stuff today. Will DL tonight if a solution has not been found by then.
Thanks Max but you dont need to download the whole Singularity client, if you follow the instructions in the link in my last post it asks you to copy your TQ client and then it will patch the copied install. CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

Hi all, I wanted to just give you all an update so you don't lose hope. We are still looking into this issue but have yet still been unable to reproduce on any of our in house hardware. We are looking at getting one of the same laptops you are experiencing the issues on to have a better chance of debugging this.
The logserver reports from all of your bugreports do not give us any leads as to what is going on, so we need to reproduce this in the office. I will update you as soon as I have any news.
Ishivan: I'm afraid the hringur.dds in your logs is unrelated to this issue CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

The majority of reported issues are all on INTEL HD Integrated graphics chips so that is where we are focusing our research. I will find your GPU model in the test lab later today and run some tests on it but this issue isnGÇÖt an easy one to reproduce. CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

Hi all, I just wanted to give you all an update. We havenGÇÖt been able to reproduce the issue in-house but we're looking at purchasing some new hardware to assist with this investigation.
We're also involving INTEL as the 'reset' is happening in the device driver and not the game client, if the game crashed then we would have crash dumps that would help us pin point the issue but because it's a driver reset no crash dump is generated.

Hi all, I wanted to give you a small update and ask for your assistance once again.
We have a possible lead and have made some changes that are currently on the Singularity test server. If you are still experiencing the display adapter reset can you connect to Singularity and reply to this thread if the issue is resolved for you or not.
Instructions to connect to Singularity can be found here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Sisi_Launcher
We are continuing to look into this issue but as we donGÇÖt have a reproduction in house we must rely on feedback from you to ascertain if we're making progress with these changes.

Dir guys and gals, we have not forgotten about this issue. Sadly it is taking as a long time to get our hands on such hardware for inhouse repros but things are moving.
Very sorry for the delay QA Guy | Special Ops Picture up to your IMGination. |

Mathis Athins wrote:Seems CCP gave up on this bug since there has been no communication from them for a month. Can't really blame them as it is an Intel driver error and not their fault. Still sucks that I need to use a 3 year old driver to play Eve. We haven't given up, there's just not really much to report. I'll try some changes in the next patch, but it's tricky to deal with this when I have no reliable repro case and as you say, this is likely to be an Intel driver error so I have to find a workaround that doesn't compromise performance on other hardware. |

I started experiencing this as well. The display driver itself crashes and then recovers on undock, gate jump, and jump bridge use. It does *not* crash when docking. I'm using a Dell Latitude E4310 with Intel HD Graphics driver version 8.15.10.2104 (from 03/31/2010, though it's the most updated driver available). I believe it's the x3100 chipset. I don't have Singularity on this machine; only Tranquility. Is there a log file I can provide that would be helpful? Follow the instructions here and file a bug report. Those logs could be very helpful. If you could include screenshots captured right after the driver recovers that might give me some clues. I've been banging on this for a while now on a similar laptop to no avail - I'll see if this particular driver version helps me reproduce the issue.
Next client patch will also have slightly more detailed logging directed at tracking down this issue. |

I've added more detailed logging in the latest client patch to help track down this issue. If you still experience this consistently, run with LogServer and file a bug report to my attention.
I've spent several days trying to reproduce this on a Dell laptop with an Intel HD graphics card, with several different versions of the graphics driver and have not seen any driver crashes. It is very frustrating for me not to be able to resolve this - I know this is causing you a lot of pain, but all I can do is ask for your continued patience and to keep sending us logs. |

My characters are stuck in station now, unless I only operate a single client. Please run with LogServer and file a bug report, attaching the .lbw file and the crash dump. The more information I get about crashes, the better chance I have of fixing them. |
