First and foremost, I would like to ask why it took 3 days to produce this 'evidence'. In any case...whatever...I will address them in turn below:
I know Duke has already posted on this subject before me, I wrote this post long before him and damnit if I'm gonna let all this work go to waste.
In recording 1 Duke specifically states that we were going to go along with what the SA council decides. The rest of the tape is conjecture about what could happen with all the positioning that is going on.
Recording 10 is about mining in areas that we started mining when they were still OURS and haven't been 'redistributed' (note the heavy sarcasm). Well, let me ask you this: If you were faced with losing a system you were counting on keeping (because we're mining 0t-lib, which OC had previously stated that it would NOT give up), wouldn't you want to reap what you can? Oh wait...isn't that what EV did when they gave territory to new 'members' of stain (Oh...and who got to vote on new members of the alliance? Or did they just happen to be members one day? Yeah, how nice for letting us know after they've been approved.)
Oh, side note: On the vote of redistributing, which of the new members voted against redistribution? None? Of course they didn't wanna give up the chance for free systems. How silly. But recording 1 he states that we were going to go along with it (even though we're taking it up the tailpipe). And more personally, I can attest that at no point in time did I hear Duke say that he was going to disobey the council's decision. Not in [bold]three whole months[/bold] did I hear even ONE duplicitous word from him. Which, by the way, the redistribution was conveniently put on hold while OC combatted CA for them. Why don't they need us anymore? Evolution entry and a territory grab at the same time? Must have been pretty desperate to actually push into war (yes, YOU pushed this, not OC).
Recording 11 starts off talking about who? Its not said, but I know who. They're talking about EV not really doing a whole lot for the offense of stain and that they put up a few here and there for appearances.
Then Duke makes a statement about a shadow corp that never even happened. Why didn't it happen? That is not known to me personally (I haven't been in game for a week or so). But because I know each member pretty well, I think, I bet I can draw a conclusion with some accuracy: Because most members weren't really hot on the idea of actually doing it so they moved slowly. But then a whole lot of other things happened soon enough that rendered the shadow corp unnecessary because the SA showed their true nature.
In addition to all I have said so far, you also have to take all these recordings into context and see WHY they are being said and WHY we're mining passed our deadline in a system thats designated as a redistribution system. They are taken at a point where Omega Corp has come under the suspicion (if not outright knowledge) that we are being manuevered and set up to remove us from Stain (or make us want to leave) by the very members of the alliance that we've worked for from the very outset. It kinda leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, especially when your supposed closest ally is the first to stab you (et tu Brute?) before even the deadline was passed.
If you're not going to start making preparations for a probably war by then, you're an idiot and you don't deserve to be a CEO and your corp is going to fail or be pushed back into empire space. We are NOT about to do that. You can kiss my cruise missile.
What are the rest of the recordings about? People mining? Wow....So exciting. Wait, lets not forget recording 17 that is so prominently displayed at the bottom of the list about an SW member gone 'rogue' and formed a shadow corp, who has by now returned to SW (geee....). What did this member do? He attacked us before the decision was publicized. Nice. I bet he was accepted back with open arms, because they knew about it the whole time.
I suppose SW will continue to deny that he was acting under SW orders, or that they had no knowledge of what he was going to do. Too bad they can't produce any recordings that prove this innocence.
And all these recordings are supposed to be a mountain of evidence against us? What you have is a lot of links to people chatting while under a mining op that probably shouldn't have been done. So anyone reading this, don't bother with any of the other recordings but the first three with the addition of recording 17 that is so graciously posted here (BTW, why even bother to post that crap??).
In conclusion, there is absolutely no evidence of any plotting on our part and the war that has been started over it has been fished out of a barrel and propped up as justified.
