anyone consider a wcs? Then you're just worrying about bubbles, interdictors and the like. So put a overdrive and a nano in the other lows for a good mwd-cloak combo. Neev covops 4 a believe to fit it cpu-wise

Well I don't need to ask a question since this forum answered all of mine. The higher the covert ops skill the less CPU you need. Dah.
I have mine as a scout with a prob launcher and a covert ops cloak. On top of that I have a Microwarp and a micro cap. With two Warp Core Optimizer II's to reduce the CPU load. Just to get me out of bubbles and off into warp.
Dampeners seem to be more of a problem since I have yet to fit them on. I guess my plan is to never be put in that position. It is not like these ships are built to take a pounding.

I haven't seen a single setup with a DCII, which improves effective HP by about 50%. Jumping from 2400 to 4200 seems like it would mean a lot. I'm lacking some skills to use the ship as of now, but the fitting I have in mind...
[Helios] Damage Control II Inertia Stabilizers I Overdrive Injector System II
1MN MicroWarpdrive I Remote Sensor Dampener II Remote Sensor Dampener II 'Hypnos' Multispectral ECM I Micro Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 200
[empty high slot] Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Hornet EC-300 x1
I'm used to speccing ships for ganky DPS, so this is something completely different for me. This particular ship setup is both for ranged support and for taking a shot or two while slipping away (hence the DC2, damps, and the Hornet). Thoughts?

I have been poundering about this ship for a while, since I am using it in deep hostile territories, scouting out ratters and calling in support while I tackle. It turns out that sensor damps are completely useless, 1 warp disruptor is not enough (ratters fit wcs), and maintaining cap is a problem. I have the following so far
cov ops cloak recon probe
2 warp disrupt II 2 cap recharger II 1 1mn mwd II (catch those trying to run, ab is not enough!)
co processor II cap power relay II inertia stab (helps you get away)
and of course a t2 small drone.

I'm not sure about having that kind of setup. Eats up wayyyy too much cap! So far my test setup looks to be something like this.
High's: 1 Salvager 1 T2 Co Ops Cloak
Mid's: 1 T2 Afterburner (I'll explain why in a second...) 2 T2 Warp Disruptors 2 T2 Cap Rechargers
Low's: 1 T2 Overdrive Injector 1 Local Hull Stabilizers 1 T2 Capacitor Power Relay
Lets look at the mids for a second. The T2 AB was chosen on purpose due to the fact it does not penalize you max cap amount. Remember that you need to be able to run both Warp Disruptor's and the Afterburner at the same time. You will kill the cap with a MWD and both disruptor's running very quickly! In addition, the ships you will tackle with this will usually not go very fast anyways. Preferably one that has no drones. 1000 m/s should be more than enough to tackle all those slow as hell ships. You can perma run all of this with all the proper skills maxed out.
The lows are to help with the cap drain problem and with speed while allowing for a faster align and warp.
I have not tried cap boosters due to the space it hogs in the cargo bay. Also cap boosters need to be micro managed so you don't run out before you can load another one.
Oh and remember you could always add a rig or two to help with speed or cap.

Don't be using your helios to tackle, use it to throw a ship in that is designed to tackle.
A warp disruptor does come in handy though, when you feel there is no risk or you fancy some fun.

I have fun in 0.0 making peeps mad with my shuttle-death Helios
High: covert cloak and a 150mm t-2 rail mids: sml cap booster, t-2 mwd, t-2 disruptor, SB t-2, Muon disruptor lows: 2 x OD t-2, MAPC
and of course the drone
Sit about 5km off a 0.0 gate on the backside cloaked, something jumps in, decloak and fire away. If it's too big, the muon give you time to cloak and get out of Dodge.
