Greetings!
As a financially secure pilot with a successful Jita-based business, I would like to give something back to help new pilots into the game. This is an opportunity for new pilots to get off to a great start.
Let's get a few things established quickly;
- I am giving ISK to newer players, as an interest-free loan, repaid only when you are willing and able, to help you into the game
- You do not have to send me any ISK or offer any collateral as security - this is not a scam
- Repayment is optional - I will rely on your sense of goodwill and fairness
Eligibility requirements;
- You must have less than 5 million skillpoints
- You must have held your pilot license for a minimum of 3 weeks and a maximum of 6 months
- You must have less than 50m ISK in your wallet
- You must be willing to share your API privately with me, so I can check you do not have older characters in your account, or adequate financial resources already in place - there is absolutely no risk in sharing your API, however I need to protect myself from scams
- You must have some standings/proof of activity from missions, mining, or PvP, so I know you're not an inactive alt (I can check this via the API)
You must apply in this thread, and include the following information;
- What you enjoy about Eve
- What your goals are and what you hope to achieve in-game
- The amount of ISK you wish to borrow
- What you will use the ISK for - please be as detailed as possible to help me assess the amount required
How it works
- Post your application for financial assistance in this thread - as per the 4 points above
- I will then review the applications, generally one every day or two
- I will reply in this thread notifying you if your application is approved
- You will then send me your API for verification - I must be able to see your wallet activity, skills, characters in the account, and standings
- Once you are verified, I will transfer you the ISK
- You may repay the ISK when you have become more successful in EVE and can afford to - I understand that for some of you, this may never happen, but I offer this service in goodwill and hope to recoup at least some of the ISK
Q&A
Q: How will you afford this?
A: I am setting aside 20% of my daily trading profits for this good cause. I will loan out ISK up to this level.
Q: How will you ensure you get paid back?
A: I cannot ensure this. I know I will probably lose ISK. But I hope that enough new pilots will go on to succeed and repay me at some point in their future, that I will not lose too much money in the long-term.
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: My reasons are genuinely altruistic. To help new players out - but not just any new players, those with clear goals and who need a helping hand to realise their EVE dreams.

Thank you for your repsonses.
May I please remind you that this is a service for new players only. I'm not sure why there are comments regarding API and scamming as it's impossible to use the API to scam anyone, since all it provides is character information.
To clarify, the only API data I need to verify an application is: characters on the account, wallet transactions, standings, and skills. This is so that I can verify that the character meets eligibility requirements. Clearly it's not possible to scam anyone on the basis of that information.

Thanks for your feedback. On reflection I have increased the maximum wallet amount to 100m ISK. |

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have raised the minimum age to three weeks.
I am aware that some pilots will attempt to mis-use this service. Fortunately I expect the number to be small, and, as there is no guarantee of me granting a loan until I approve the application and review the API details, I expect these incidents to be a minimum.
If someone wants to go to all the trouble of a whole, paid, fake account with a character who meets the criteria for a small 'loan', well, good luck to them. They'd be better off selling a plex!
