Agreed its very inconvenient having to open F11 which moves the overview further towards the middle of the screen this is not very UI friendly at all

Why was it even taken off? The directional scanner is still a very useful tool.

Big sign... It's so hard to scan systems fast now, the seamless map, though useful, is still too slow to just quickly look around a system... Plus there's no sense of scale without zooming out and even then (take G-5 as an example), you can't zoom out far enough in the system map to see the whole system!

Giant massive /signed. Who'd have thought CCP could clutter up the overview EVEN MORE THAN IT WAS ALREADY! I mean honestly, I thought the UI was already as bad as it could get, all we need now is for them to start removing the most useful bits...........

Signed. it makes no sense to make the scanner windows smaller, but then have your overview flop over towards the middle of the screen, and having to focus on the window in the corner is...meh..inconvenient.

Dual screen support would fix alot of this too as yopu could run your map on one screen and the space view on another.. *Hint*Hint*

Having a new complicated tool doesn't absolve the need of a simpler one.
The new system map rocks, not arguing with that. But it feels a bit like the mini map has been moved to draw our attention to the 3d system map, which isn't necessary. The system map has its role, as does the mini.

An improvement of the directional scanner map would be cool too! I hate when two belts are reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally close together, and you can't tell which belt they are in because it's almost impossible to get one belt in 5 degree scans(quickly).
