The Eve-Online Forum Moderation Team is now accepting applications for moderators. We are known as the Communications Relay Commission and is one of many divisions within the official volunteer program known as the Interstellar Services Department or ISD. We monitor the EVE Message Boards to make sure the Forum Rules are followed, while interacting with the community.
Requirements:
- Good communication skills including good written skills.
- Active participation in the discussions on the EVE Message Boards.
- A minimum of 3 months playing EVE.
- No forum bans issued, a low amount of warnings may be accepted.
- Experience using IRC is prefered but not a requirement. We ask you to include your experience with IRC somewhere in the application.
- Access to an email client
- 18 years of age is a minimum, older is a merit.
- Knowledge in Eve's back story and Roleplaying Experience is a bonus.
- Knowledge of the Eve-Online CCG (Eve: The Second Genesis) is a plus. We ask that if you have knowledge of the CCG please put that somwhere in the application
You do not have to be an expert in English, but you will have to know enough to be able to communicate with it. You will have to be able to read enough to moderate effectively.
A well written application is a huge plus! We do look at other areas as well, but a well written application will greatly increase your chance. Do not apply with trial accounts as they will not be processed.
You can apply by clicking the ôInterstellar Svcs Deptö button under ôEVE INSIDERö in the menu to your left. If you have already submitted an application please update it. Make sure that you've checked the ôEVE Forum Mod (CRC)ö choice under question 5 (What area are you interested in volunteering for?).
You can read more about the EVE Volunteer Program (ISD) and EVE Forum Moderator Team (CRC) in the FAQ, Player Guide and on our website.
Our systems rely on you having the correct email in your account details. If you have an old email there that you don't use we will not be able to contact you. Make sure your email is updated under account management! Also, if you have already applied and you haven't heard from us, check if your email spam filter may have blocked our email to you (especially with web-based email systems such as hotmail, yahoo etc.). We make an effort to ensure that every application receives a reply.
It is highly recommended to write your application answers in a word processing program such as MS Word, and copy/past them into the responce box. The application process has a tendency to reset if you take too long writing your answers.
If you want to join a great group of people to volunteer with and assist with the game we all love so much, apply today!!!
If you have any questions regarding the application process, please ask them here or e-mail us at [email protected].
