A fairly minor update:
- Fixing issues with launcher not starting up for some players.
- Removing non-public test servers.
- evelauncher.exe now has version info in the file properties.
- Local storage for test servers is cleared on startup (only once).
The reason for clearing the local storage is explained here: http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/eve-online-news/update-on-login-issues-with-the-test-server-singularity-on-january-26/
We apologize for the inconvenience, but you will have to log in to your accounts on Singularity and Duality again.

Wine user here. Something happened with this build and everything in the launcher is white now.
However all the clicks are responding. So I can open up links to "Recruit a Friend". Also since I know the settings is at the top right of the window I can still open up the "Server list" and open the client directly from that.
Would be nice though to fix whatever busted it. When I check the "Logging" from the settings menu I see this:
14:53:42.326 error QWebEnginePage: "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'running' of undefined" 1 "https://launcher.eveonline.com/1.753/bundles/scripts0e0c.js?v=7o1rYA6bCDRm9OHv_KTDk1XT8-8S6wgUnEZz-BeW6yU1" 14:55:19.916 warning composeAndFlush: makeCurrent() failed 14:55:45.291 warning composeAndFlush: makeCurrent() failed(Repeated 14 times) 14:55:47.212 info LogViewer opened 14:55:47.392 warning composeAndFlush: makeCurrent() failed
Not sure if that's related or not. |

I am having the same trouble. The launcher is all white and does not work as of this last update. What did you guys do to it, and what is the manual workaround? |

If the launcher isn't starting up, or is just displaying a white window, try setting an environment variable called QT_OPENGL, either to 'software' or 'angle'.
You can set an environment variable by right-clicking on your computer in the Start menu, select Properties, then Advanced System settings, then Environment Variables...
In the dialog that comes up, add a new System variable. Enter 'QT_OPENGL' in the name field, and 'desktop' in the value field (without the quotes).
This update was intended to fix similar issues - unfortunately, it seems there is no one setting that works for everybody.

Hey gang, I'm on a MAC and I'm trapped in a pop up window hell of the launcher saying a new version 1002259 is being downloaded and a count clock. However nothing has been downloaded or is downloading. The window pops up even if i hit cancel and start the game from the old launcher and as i tried to type the message. I'm sure you are working on it. Just a note hope this helps.

I don't think this is going to fix the problem of us running it on Macs under wine... most Mac users who play Eve, I think.
What is the ETA of the new Mac client coming out? Because, and I can't believe I am going to say this, "Literally unplayable." I do not have a way of logging in and playing Eve now. |

Thanks CCP Snorlax. That actually did help. A little. So now it's not a whitebox, but all the fonts are missing and displaying "[]" for every character. However at least everything clickable is visible at this point (Including the "E" at the top right which can take you into "Server list" to launch the game directly).
It's not ideal because it's nice to one-click to login as an account, but I can live with it if it's still a work in progress.
For PlayOnMac/PlayOnLinux users: you can edit your executable and go to "Miscellaneous > Command to exec before running the program" and enter
export QT_OPENGL=software
"angle" crashed the program for me. "desktop" appears to be the default. |

My issue is a bit different, after the update my Launcher is just a black square. Its also "Not Responding" so I can't even try to guess where the buttons would be. |

Aha! I figured it out.
I had wine configured to use "Windows 7". Once I switched it back to "Windows XP" the fonts came back.
Hope this helps any other wine user in the same boat.

after a clean OS install .. pretty sure i had eve SharedCache uptodate as of 28th Jan .. "download all" ticked in the launcher .. zipped it to a external drive so i dont need to re-download it all .. unpacked the zip .. reinstalled the new launcher .. first run nohting wierd .. just had to set the settings again to my likeing "download all" was unticked ... nohting stared downloading .. .. today i opened up the launcher .. clicked "play" on one of my accoutns .. client loaded and was logged in .. nohting unusual .. launcher was on backround .. then desided to log in another account BUT Play was unavailable and the launcher was downloading 2.8gigs of stuff ... http://community.eveonline.com/news/patch-notes/ .. no new updates according to this .. so to double check... i closed the launcher again .. then opened up and was able to click play on any of the accounts untill about 20 or so secs then the play button poofed and it continiued downloading ..
a) not sure what it is downloading .. running rescachse in the tq folder shows missing files .. so meybe indeed im missing something .. but why start downloading now outta bluye is last patch was couple days ago .. client Version: 14.01.1002007 b) being able to run the clients for a limited time before the launcher starts downloading .. seeing as the client has enuf of the data to run, perhaps make the play button show up when theres is something to download, but enuf to run, with a difrent color.. or something ..
or is there an update thats not yet been added to the patchnotes page (that page havent been uptodate always) ..

The Launcher doesn't remove it's tray icon properly when closed on win7 if the "Minimize to tray on close" option is disabled. The icon stays there until i hover the mouse over it, then it disappears. |

Getting this error today when I try to login via launcher.
Your Eve client installation may have been modified, damaged or corrupt files. Please run repair.exe located in the Eve game directory or re-install the game client. Verification failed: 'C:\ProgramData\CCP\EVE\SharedCache\tq\bin\staticdata\mapObjects.db', crc:f15d5493, expected:87ed2beb.
I've tried the repair tool, but it didn't fix the problem. If I launch Eve via the .exe it works.
