Had this mission 4 times in the last couple days and was wondering if this room was worth doing, and what the difficulty of the room is. I always do the GE bonus room and usually come across something as far as good loot goes. Is the AE room the same?
*Note I have a full gist tank and don't have any problems with any level 4 missions.

It's one of the hardest missions and the loot is usually not that good. There is a chance of domination loot though. For me it takes too much time if you look at the loot/bounty's so i usually skip it.

Yeah the time to isk ratio is not very good....i personally hate the mission, but because i was getting it offered to me after i turned it down the first time, i had no choice but to do it. So much for the "no more repeating missions" theory.

I usually just pop into the 6th room, destroy the structure, bm it and then finish the mission. Can just go back to it after since the structure is where the good stuff is (heh) anyway.

i was given the mission a few days ago but didn't do the bonus stage because ppl said you need at least a faction or navy kind of ship. is that true? can it be done solo? with a T1 ship? how many bs + support? how much dps? can someone who did it give some input? thanx!

Yeah, you don't have to kill the rats in the last room - you can even do it without aggroing them - just AB to the structure and blow it up.

You can do the final room in a reasonably fitted raven with a buddy in an auguror remote cap boosting you.
AE bonus room is harder than the GE one.
Anytime I've done it nothing has scrambled so it may be worth a try - take out the cruise launchers first as they do a lot of therm damage which you won't be tanked for. Take out the destroyers next, there's loads of them and they do mixed damage as well. Then move to the BS.
I used a faction tank - you could prob do it with tech II but a nice booster / amp combo makes it a lot easier.
I haven't had to warp out yet.

Didn't know that was also possible, but sounds nice Guess i'll be doing it next time i get the mission because that structure is the only thing which makes it worth doing the bonus level.

I have not tried the bonus stages so far (as missions themselves have rather crap isk/time ratio) but now I started to wonder. Does anyone know if any spawns agress second enitites warping in (like say ... alt in Osprey or relased drones) as happens in few other missions. Would like to know same for Guristas Extravaganza if anyone happens to pass by who knows.

I have done both the AE and GE bonus levels.
I use a CNR and find the GE Bonus easy in comparison to the AE Bonus. Its no harder than some of the other level 4 missions tbh.
Having done GE bonus multiple times now and the best thing I have had from the structure is a Dread 75mm rail gun I dont bank on getting anything of value from it and just do it for a few extra bountys.( im not doubting some people do strike gold ...just not me yet !)
The AE bonus level is probably the only one that keeps me 100% attentive to whats going on (No flicking through channels on TV or browsing EvE-O forums while I do it). It takes longer than GE bonus and again has never dropped any loot of much value...so again its just for bountys alone I bother with it.
I used to use a basilisk to sheild rep but can manage it without now although I do use a gang with all relevant leadership skills at 5 and also Implants taken into account.
Not tried it yet completely solo as really dont want to lose what I have worked for stupidly when there is no need.
Hope the above helps.

I can only speak for GE. I doubt a buddy warping in will draw any attention as the second you fire on one ship they all agro you, so as long as you do that first. One popping in later should be fine.
I have been lucky enough to get 2x DG invul fields and a DG heavy launcher out of DG bonus room. I know another guy who has scored the DG BCU's on more than one occasion. Worth at least checking out IMO.

It's plenty worth it if you salvage. -7san |

If you have some paitience for Angel room of death, upon warping in do a 180 and ab out of the turrets firing range. Aprox 200 km, once they go yellow you can come back and trigger on or both aggros from 150 or so and snip the buggers as they come out. Needless to say you do not shoot the turrets or everything lites up. as a time saver and if you have a warp out point in the right direction.. take out the 2 closest turrets to your warp in point.. aprox 26k and 60 k then leave before the spam hits.. there are tacklers but with the no mwd for intys in deadspace they take a bit more time to get to you.
In about 40 missions I have only recieved domination faction loot 3 times, but the bounties add up to about 6 mill isk or so and the effects are the 6.3 mill isk ones, so it can be lucrative.. that and salvage now.
If you do decide to ignore it you are not missing a whole lot. As a note, part of the perma loot from the station is 30K bane torps, 10k Carbonized lead large and 20 ogers. Oh and a domination platinum tag i belive it is. good For minerals if for nothing else.

Its not possible to avoid aggro as in my experience the defense installations and launchers start to shoot you the moment you warp in. Destroying only the structure works, but you are losing a lot of salvage from the ships in the bonus level.
Here is a how-to-do guide I wrote for my corp mates (for non faction module equipped ships):
-------------------------------------------------------
For the normal mission one gets about 50 mil ISK in mission pay, bounties, salvage and loot. The bonus stage gives you another 5 mil or so in bounties, another 6 mil for tier 11 overseer effect (from the Angel retirement home), another 6 mil for a domination tag and roughly 15-20 mil in loot and salvage (most of it ammo, we are speaking about e.g. 30000 torpedos here, amongst other stuff - blow up the Angel battle station for that). So its some 80 mil in total. Thats roughly 30 mil per hour.
It has been said on forum that in about 5 % of the runs you COULD get a good faction item worth a bit. Never happened to me yet.
If you want to do the extra (optional) bonus stage, you need an Angel diamond tag. Maybe only the gang leader needs one, maybe all team members need one to enter the last gate. Better come prepared and all should have one.
The first one in should have a pretty good tank. T2 Raven with X-Large shield booster II and cap booster injector recommended. Load booster 400 or 800 charges. Excellent cap recharge rate needed (i have 300, using 2 rigs and other modules) to keep the repper running. Concentrate on Explosive resistance first (should have 80-90 %), then kinetic. Dont ignore thermal either, or the thermal cruise missiles will pick you apart. You can afford low EM resistance.
Once you entered, align to a celestial object and move away from the rats. You will immediately be shot at by multiple cruise missile launchers, sentry III, sentry II and other smaller missiles. DONT shoot back or you have a full stage aggro of some 20-30 ships in addition to that. You have to patiently tank this damage for the rest of your time in this bonus stage. The ships wont aggro you if you dont shoot them or the installations.
Once you reach 80 km distance from the outermost ship (a frig or better yet a cruiser) shoot it. NOW you get a full stage aggro. Keep moving away. Kill any frigs MWDing near ( ESPECIALLY the Angel Vipers and Webifiers - ignore them at your own risk, they are a pain to kill when not MWDing). Whereever possible kill the cruisers and never let them nearer than 40 km unless you want them to double their damage output.
Here a non-tank damage dealer team mate really starts to shine.
Dont bother with an afterburner - if the rats fly too far from their base, they turn around and head back and you have to pull em again. So slogging it at normal pace is better as you reach that return-to-base mark too soon with an AB.
Once the ships are destroyed, head back to mop up the installations (which shot out to beyond 150 km anyway - you tank them all the time). They start to hit better once you come near again, so they take some killing and tanking. If the cruise missile launchers are gone, it gets much easier.
Kill the retirement home and the battle station for the loot. There is another structure (the "disc structure", a stargate wreck) which i did not kill (out of ammo - and stargate structures have insane amounts of structure and take ages to kill). So i dunno if that drops loot too (in my experience a stargate wreck never has dropped any loot in any mission so far). If you have ammo left, please try it.
So - in summary - nice bonus, but really tough (maybe highest enemy dps of any Level 4 mission) . Can be done solo in rigged T2 Raven without faction items if you like a challenge.
Have fun
Ian

Update :
Forget the disc structure. Takes almost as long as the Angel Battlestation to kill and explodes without leaving a wreck or loot.
Tanking advice : Using an invul II plus one each of KIN/EX/THERM active hardeners II plus a pseudoelectron damage control in low gives you nice resistances at an affordable price. This helps you tank those pesky cruise launchers in the bonus room.
Shortcut advice :
Make a bookmark once you arrive in the bonus room. If you pack 3 BCU and siege II launchers with rage torpedos, you can take down the Angel Retirement home and Angel Battlestation under full stage aggro conditions. You should have a RoF implant too. Stuff the loot into a container. You then have to warp out as your tank will be breaking (unless you are packing high cost faction gear). End the mission. Bring a hauler to get your can with 30000 Bane torpedos, 20 Ogres, 10 k large ammo and some other stuff.
That method is not recommended under laggy conditions and is not for the weak of heart.
Have fun
Ian

Domi hardened HAC by drones. Brutix took out the bastards. Worked fine but it was DPS and DMG fireworks at scary level 5.

having done AE Bonus so many time i want to clarify something. Domination drop can came from retirement structure AND/OR Battlestation. Of 50 bonus so far ive got 3 domi mod. 2 from Battlestation and 1 from Angel retirement.
