Uncloak at 2km. Sensor damp target back to the stone age and open up with neutron blasters + drones. When he finally gets a target lock, some 40 seconds later.. ECM Burst him to break it again. Repeat until dead.
Would this work? I don't fly Arazu but it sounds great on paper.

well look at power use of ECM burst.. and they are NOT 100% sucess rate.. more like 25-50% sucess rate...

ECM burst uses too much cap for this to work. Tried and didn't like it.

I always thought ECM Burst broke locks, no matter what. No where did I get that idea from?

which would of course make it the best module in the entire game especially for fleet fights

ECM burst indeed only breaks locks but the chance to do that is calculated exactly like normal ECM modules.
ECM burst has 3 times the strength of a normal multispec though so that's it's strong point...
It's low points are, short range, uber cap use, AoE meaning concordocken in empire and it breaks your teammates/drones lock as well.

I've used this on a Lachesis AND had it work in combat, but it was too stressful for me so I've since gone back to the cookie-cutter setup. I lost a couple of Gallente blaster/damp ships before I realized that I was closing to 3,000m in a ship that couldn't tank and was guaranteed to get called primary.
It's fun for the surprise factor though if you have brass ones, though, along with Heavy Blasters and small nos.

Try it on a scorpion, with 3x particle dispersion projectors fitted, and a cetus ECM burst.
29km (5000m falloff) optimal on a str 13.5 burst. One day I'll figure out a way to use it effectively too :)
This may or may not be bugged, as rook/falcon/BB bonuses don't apply, and neither do signal distortion ampls (but the ECM power rig does work).

can drones be jamed? thought they can't as some recent patch notes stated: Quote: The scan strength of drones has been increased to 7.5 for ligth drones, 12.5 for medium and 22.5 for heavy. This only affects for probe scanning as they can not be target jammed.
if yes, what about fighters? and whats the orbit range of fighters?

They can't. Neither can F.O.Fs. But warp scramblers sure can, so once it starts feeling too much pain it simply warps off.

I used to fly a blaster arazu pre-Kali, worked well and I took out a few battleships solo, so the idea of a replacement appeals to me.
However, the unreliability and high cap-use of ECM bursts makes it nothing more than a good way to lose a covops cloak. _____________________________________________
