And anytime something new is introduced you can expect that there will be changes later.
Anyone that dedicates a lot of time/money to be the "first" stands to either gain a huge amount (T1 rigs were selling as high as 1B ISK initially) and at the same time lose a lot (the person stockpiling 400M of probes, just to have their mineral requirements/costs cut but 90%).
Its the way of new things.
indeed, lets just hope theres still money to be made, since we as explorers do it for the money we will make :) well i do anyway :P

its not the economy its us working for the rewards, if many dont want to work for the rewards people will stop, like most not salvaging anymore since its alot cheaper now theres more people selling there salvage

And when ppl stop working for it, it won't be readily available on the market, so prices will rise. Untill finally it will stabelize.
concerning rigs. Tech 1 rigs are supposed to be easy to get and really cheap to manufacture. If you look at the price for a bpo, you get a idea of how much it should cost. Now tech 2 rigs is where the money is.
And tech 2 market prices will go down, so lot's more ppl will buy tech 2 equipment, resulting in a lot more tech 2 equipment actually beeing flown with in pvp, and beeing lost. This will result in a lot more tech 2 salvaged materials, ...
Also, new characters will not have a 500 mil isk gaping bridge to cross to be able to do something.
Take a tech 2 covert ops cloak for example. I still have the first one i bought on my ship. I bought it for 24 mil. The prices ARE trough the roof.
And think of this. What does it matter if rewards go down, when at the same time prices go down aswell?
you go back to ratting or what ever else you did for your isk, but that wont happen anytime soon, but i expect it will be like that evenually
