So today CCP removed Snowballs for some unfathomable reason. I can only think of 4 reasons why this might have happened.
1. They caused lag somehow. 2. They took up database entries. 3. They did nothing. 4. Not everyone has some.
(5. They were unusable in PvP so deemed worthless by PvPers and therefore removed.)
So, along those lines I feel we should also remove player corpses from EVE, since they too qualify for all four of the above reasons.
1. They cause lag by persisting in space, especially making fleet battles worse. 2. They take up database entries since each is a unique item and can't be repackaged. 3. They do nothing. 4. Only gankers and pirates have them.
So, since snowballs, a harmless fun gift, were taken away from us I hereby request that CCP also remove corpses, since obviously they serve no purpose and hurt the server and the community far more than snowballs ever did. Won't you think of the frozen water?
For those who say that "of course they melted after two years" I say to you that all perishable trade goods and livestock too should be removed since they obviously have died or went bad, all "people" removed from your hangers since after several years at least some would have escaped, and ammo left in stations should randomly explode destroying nearby modules due to neglect.

I'd like them to have some use, sell them to blood raiders or Sanshas, those freaks like dead bodies. Maybe can convert them into protein delicacies.

Well, they have changed them to melted snowballs, so number one and two can be ruled out. We still have mines so number three is wrong. I dont have a Titan, but I think the Bobettes still have a few dozen so that rules out four.
As for number five, we all KNOW that CCP don't give a damn about what PvPers want, they only care about what carebear mission runners in Jita care about.
Has anyone tried launching them from a missile launcher?

Contract scams remain. Can baiting remains. CONCORD payments for suicide ganking remains. *shrug* A lot is left in game which has the same effect on stupid people. I realize this was given as a reason, but baited pilots in Jita are going to die anyway. Why everyone has to be penalized for the cruelty of some and lack of judgement of others is beyond me.

Kali cleared up an awful lot of escrow scams, and I think the common one used now was more of an oversight than an intentional scamming option. The global ship HP buff made suicide ganking more difficult, although not impossible. Can baiting gives you a warning beforehand, so there really is no reason to alter that.

Taking away the snowballs is unacceptable. I had spent over 100 mil buring snowballs for months before the holidays to give them as gifts with a launcher to my corp mates who had largely started in Eve after they were handed out. And to remove them without notice is even worse! At least we could have used them up with one last snowball fight. The excuse that they were being used to get someone concorded is nonsense. That is just "another game mechanic". Is CCP going to remove every way you can trick someone into getting killed? Hardly!
Bring back the snowballs! Or compensate us for the ones you stole from us!

you missed the real reason we removed them : Because some people were using them to lure others into thinking they were being fired upon at which point, when those people who got "snowballed" returned fire, they got concorded.
Corpses do not cause this to happen. ________________________________ ~Jiekon ~CCP QA Known Issues Easy steps to bug reporting How to use the log server

No, it's not nonsense. This item made people who attacked others using snowballs have red flashing brackets, tell me what other item in game does this without you being concorded in empire space. ________________________________ ~Jiekon ~CCP QA Known Issues Easy steps to bug reporting How to use the log server
