People are strange.
They say they played WoW from 1-60 and did everything, and every minute of it sucked balls.
Why would you do that if it wasn't fun?
Truth is, it IS fun, it's just not deep or meaningful.
It's mindless, cheap fun.
If I pvp in Eve I have to grind for 1-2 hours to afford another ship.
If I pvp in WoW it costs me nothing.
To pvp in Eve I have to ask "any ops? any ops? any ops?"
In WoW I just run to the battleground and there's always a battle ready to go.
BF2 ------------ WoW ------------ Eve
Bf2 is instant action with no depth. WoW is fast action with a little depth. Eve is slow action with lots of depth.
I love the deepness of Eve, but its so slow.

Somehow, I think you won't be missed...
Somehow, you just busted the myth that people are more mature in Eve than in WoW.
I don't think people are more mature in Eve.
People are just confusing elitism for maturity.
The same person who says things like "I haven't camped a gate in 3 months" would be in WoW playing their Undead Rogue going "pwned n00b."
It is the exact same attitude "I am better than you" using different terms.

You need to find a money making activity that you enjoy

Originally by: Trioxis I enjoy both WoW and EVE, but I do prefer WoW PVP over EVE PVP. In WoW I don't have to worry about losing everything and having to start from square one. EVE PVP is more hardcore and only for those who are willing to risk everything they have.
Why would you risk everything you have?
Don't fly what you cannot afford to lose.
A player with 5 million isk, surely he can afford to lose 10 frigates?
And he gets back most of it from insurance.
So where is the hardcore-ness?
If anything the hardcore-ness is logistics. Getting 10 frigates to where you are, outfitting them with mods, buying enough ammo, and having other types of ammo to switch damage types.
Especially when you are living in 0.0 it is a logistical nightmare, when you have to wait for carrier cyno day to get a shield booster and a couple of skillbooks.
