Does anyone know why the Gallente Titan model was changed from the old model of the Solteur to the Erebus design? Personally, I prefered the older design and would have loved to seen one in game!

That's the caldari one. The old gallente titan was more vertical, a bit like the myrmidon.
The Erebus and the Solteur were very similar in looks though; the Erebus is bigger, and more detailed, but from the front, but otherwise, they were basically the same, if I recall correctly. Sigs are for noobs. |

I seem to remember the old Leviathen looking like a really big scrapyard that was stuck on a giant magnet so it stayed together
(yes, it was minmatar)

I've not seen any of the older Titan models other than the one I posted. Does anyone have a link to any test screenshots or concept art?

Ok - the old minmatar titan was called a Leviathan - so please lets not confuse people ^^
The minnie one looked much like a twig. The gallente one still looked like frozen snot, the caldari one is that one there, and the amarr one was much the same as it is now.

"old" Solteur
If i recall right, the reasoning is the player titans are new designs, while Solteur is 'old' titan built by Gallente for their federation rather than for private pod-pilots and their alliances. Since the old model was used in RP events, the 'new' titan had to be given different shape to set them apart.
or something to this effect :s

They look a bit big because they are big? Believe that chart was done to scale. -----

Never seen angel machariels, but I've seen piloted machariels, and yes, they are insanely big.
So I assume the NPC ones are smaller?
