So, Im running level 3 missions wondering 'hey i must be due a storyline mission soon, that will be a nice reward for the drudgery of mission running'...
One duly arrives. "Covering Your Tracks"
Whoopee thinks I...
The reward turns out to be 300k (including the bonus!). For a level 3?!?!
WTF...

Story Lines in level 3s are a joke.
They are fast and easy and the reason to do them is for standing and nothing else.

I have the annoying problem that every time I get a lvl 3 storyline it is the same one. Bring 6000m3 of Omber and I wll give you this +3 implant and its not even the most expensive stand alone +3. THere any way in which they vary or is there a link to something? Thanks.

I got a level 4 storyling offer for a 3% shield recharge rate implant the other day :-/ I think you're doing better than I am!

angel strike , 1 of 10 ... 10 missions without lp , and the implant in the last mission is always crap , yesterday the last mission gave me a medium hybrid 5 % dmg , last week it was a medium laser 5 % dmg
I tried to look too far ahead
And saw the road go to my past instead |

The bounties in 10/10 are decent. 6-7 1.4m isk BS's if I remeber.
Also, the tower you blow up drops a +3 implant.

i've done 10 of 10 two times , the first time i made 20 mill + 40 mill salvage from the BS's , no loot and three 1 mill implants in the tower
the second time i've made it i made 20 mill + 6 mill salvage from the BS's , 2 mill loot and three 1 mill implants from the tower
both times i've fought blood battleships in 10 of 10 , both times there where 10 of them

Uh..yeah they are...I got one yesterday. A level 4 SL mission, got around 9-10mill total, and the implant was worth another 2 mill. The +25% faction didn't do anything either. =(

Damn that's a shame. A poor quality implant. Oh well the price of implants is about increase. Enoy!

I got a 45mil (actually 49mil in Amarr) implant last week and a 25mil last night. Both from l3 Storylines.

For me it's 'Material for war preparation' , I run lvl4 mission, agent effective quality 45, the standing increase for that mission is ridiculos low, stantard mission are better.

Worst storyline recently :
Collosal Containers .... transport 40000 m3 sealed containers (3000m3 each) over 7 jumps.
The strange thing is that this mission comes from a hardcore Level 4 Quality 18 command agent , which is "kill missions" all the way.
And - WHOOPPPEEE - the breathtaking 500 k payment (+ 5 mil ISK as bonus)really rocks your day -
NOT.

The worst overall mission was a dimly remembered L4 courier mission named something like "Elephantine Haul" ... 60000+ m3 temple foundation stones over 9 jumps back then where there was no jump to zero. And I had an Iteron 3 back then ... YUK.

The thing that really gets me is that this is not tested by anyone who has a feel for the current earnings vs. should I bother running this mission.
What would ***** me up is if CCP disabled the market system because the traders/industrialist are making too much isk.
I get the feeling that lvl 3 > lvl 4 missions in terms of earnings with the exception of courier missions.
The idea of game balance should involve balance instead of knee jerk reactions.
