Regardless of what you may think of their abilities, they may still prove to be an empire based nuisance. While technically they are outnumbered by their numerous war decs, the inability of their opponents to band against them creates an atmosphere of success for them. Therefore we have created a channel for all their wardecs to band together and utilize each others help. If wardecced please join the channel "Privdeath" to exchange whereabouts etc. The more people in this channel the faster we will be rid of them. The 4-4 station blackscreen's you and they like to gank you outfront before you can see anything. Personally i don't go into empire except rare occasion's and they are unco-ordinated enough to avoid easily. Good idea IMO, I was considering doing the same thing when I was at war with them. If the thousands of people at war with them were more co-ordinated (if they could bother to be) I don't think the privateers would be around much longer.

It's not unheard of for a corporation to war-dec an entire alliance and, if they don't mind their alliance mates shooting some friendlies, it's a good way to magnify your force. Also, when in EvE history has there been an entirely a-political entity. Yeah, a corp can war-dec an alliance from within but, there are so many varying political views that I doubt if Privateers will ever be shooting "one side" without also shooting "the other side". With all of this in mind and a revolving door "pew pew when ya want to" policy, I would imagine that being in Privateers is really quite fun. Being in that alliance is definately on my "to do" list. At any rate, some of the Privateers corps have really good talent. Good luck Privateers, even if we do have shooty shooty with you.

I joined a roadtrip last night to go play with the privateers. omg...25 jumps to get there! Add to that the strangeness of fighting in Empire, retraining from shooting normal hostile targets, the faction issues some had, and the laggggg, it is a challenge in some respects. Despite all their wars, we did manage to get a fight out of them. Can not remember the exact figures, but seemed we had slightly more at 30 in gang? maybe a little off. Fun fight, both sides lost ships, both sides had fun, and as we held the field, would go as far to say we won:). Admit, they did jump to us with a slightly smaller force. I doubt I will be back though, not because privateers won`t fight, you catch them with equal or almost equal forces, they WILL fight. I won`t be back due to the distance, more targets in our vicinity, and the other usual hassles you expect with Empire. Heck, we even have a billboard on one of our killmails! GF privateers. One thing, as we sat around chatting,we noticed neutrals scooping the cans. There was a suspicion it was privateers, collecting their own cans and ours. Obviously do not want to cause a hornets nest, as you can never prove it, but was funny seeing a hauler run over scoop and run lol. If your a small alliance, even corp, and want experience I can`t really see any better way to play around that fight these guys. Irritant, yes, poor lone haulers and mission runners, going to bring down empires, nope, but sure are fun:).

We were itching for a fight since we had flown 30+ jumps for a big hostile group in Tama that docked when we finally got there. So we deceide to just go for it. We did't scoop any loot.. I think at this point many from x13 have signed the forum post about neutrals looting in empire. It's so ***** irratating. We have more fleet/mini fleet battles than ever. The share amount of wars gives us at least one or two alliance which has a gang or smaller gang chasing us at nights. A few stats to tell about wether we gang industrials or not. Out of 390 kills we had 54 bs,44 bc, 13 elite cruisers, 23 af's etc etc, and on the industrial side we have 38 haulers and 3 barges. So the industrial kills is apx 10%. Of course some of our kills are ganks. It will always be like this, no matter if it's empire or 00 - and tbh, we killed a navy mega, macherial and thanatos last week. All of them was mission runners or the like - but... they died... Well.. It seems like every other minute we are met with statements like, privateer's - how low can you go. For our point of view. If this is low, low is good! Some of the fights we have including fighting with BoB, FiX, Curse Alliane, RoadKill, Smash etc etc.. And it wasnt mission runners. period. We are in the privateer alliance not to gank but to fight - and we get it all the time. Excellent. Thanks to Roadkill last night for the fight. Thanks for the fight to the couple of IAC which we fought ealier, and for all the other fights we had last couple of weeks. Ventosus - x13 ............... I will win Eve

I've had fun PvP from Privateers, only once encountered any serious local smack (and that was months ago), and during my time in ISS their near permanent wardec did change the nature of empire space. You could, as someone posted above, always fly through empire with a scout in front of you, but that sort of misses the point. I think empire is where most of us hope to be free to relax, take our eye off the ball and at least go semi-afk for those boring trade and logistics tasks. Privateers make that a risky option unless you're going somewhere off the beaten track. Not ever a serious threat to the alliance as a whole, but a threat to the individual pilot going about his business? Certainly. Also fun opponents if you're looking for some casual PvP. New to EVE? I never asked you to end the contract, in fact my stance has always been that it is easier to fight the Privateers than be a Privateer. It's just as we were once Privateers we do know that you thrive on the disorgination amongst your war targets. But I figure if we are going to be permadecced we may as well go full bore into this war. And to answer a previous post, the Privateer alliance is blocked from the channel, though that doesn't stop alts of course. There are some good people in Privateers and some quality pvp types. Plenty of others too, but every group has that. Looks like they have fun, and that's what it's about.

I am not sure how true their gloating claims are (we pwned BoB in Empire...but refers to a few lone rangers trading in Jita), nor do I hold much claim on the other sides claiming how useless and easily defeatable Privateers are (again, these stem from isolated incidents, and sometimes to individual skirmishes). Having been both in the alliance and at war with them, I think they fill a niche in the Eve Universe that gives game play that much more for all of us. But it is true, their strengths come from the deorganization of their war targets (essentially there could be many in the same system, but all in different alliances which have no common means of communication). However, the weakness of their enemies are also a weakness of theirs. The alliance is not that tight nit, and corps come and go as they please; as well as having Privateers in the same system but not in the same gangs. By this channel we can actually exploit this weakness now for the first time, or at least share intel of what gates to avoid when they gate camp. Currently, I have noticed that they gate camp the Kaaputenen -> Niarja Gate. This is the fact that for some reason the designers of the Eve Universe decided to only really make one gate link between Caldari and Amarr space, thus having to go through Kaaputenen and Niarja...which makes it a perfect place to camp. If anyone is looking for Privateers wars or go though this area, just be wary...as well as any areas around Jita, and in the system of Amarr. Also, I believe Panzershrek has other intel on who flys what (usually), I am sure other war targetted corps/allies have a similar list that we could share to know when X is in a system what we are mostly up against.
