"I never understood why the feck the devs have to log onto tranquility when they have singularity (..)"
Same reason you and all other players log onto tranquility when there's singularity there for them to use and play on instead..? Because these two servers are very far from being one and the same.

This is called the possible conflict of interests. The devs should have test server at their full disposal, but should not play on Tranquility. It's the same as the city mayer would also be the CEO of a large building company that would win the contract for a huge building project from city administration. Or a politician being a well known customer of a restaurant where many mafia guys meet and talk. Probably he only eats there, but it's not looking good. Same thing is here. Devs can be ppl of crystal honesty and rigid principals, but if it gives suspicion that something undercover is going on, especially at the scale that can ruin the game as a whole, they should separate devs from ordinary players.
I never understood why the feck the devs have to log onto tranquility when they have singularity, this is retarded on so many levels so i'll say it again as I said it on the relevant forum:
Remove the devs from Tranquility!
Because it is their game and they would like to play it with lots of people as it was meant to be played.
however one thing they should do if find ways to encourage Devs to be in different alliances(maybe already happening) as that would minimize the player whine about your got the T2 BPO because the devs are in your alliance. I would also suggest making it so the Devs never know who the other playing Dev's are in game but it is a bit late for that and people would slowly but surely find out.

So Rod, would you still be in favor if D2, Goon, LV or ASCN had been accused of this? I sincerly doubt that you would come out and stay that its ok for a dev to be playing actively in an orginzation which is fighting you for 0.0 space.
Devs should play the game to find bugs and UI issues. But THEY SHOULD NOT personally benifit in the game. Again, I liken this to Radio and TV personalities families being restricted from games and give-aways because they have inside information and could be tempted to use it for their own advantage. For the same reason, devs should not be allowed to play a personal account; expecially if they choose to join up with one of the biggest contenders in 0.0 space.
Your alliance needs to come out and shoot down these accusations. CCP needs to complete their "investigation" in a very public manner. Otherwise, it appears (and whether this is true or not) that everyone involved is just sweeping this under the rug. Come on, the glorious BoB spin machine can only call him a hacker? CCP's air tight logs don't take weeks to examine... This should be an open and closed PR job - so why isn't it! ---
