As the corpmail explaining our leaving was deleated, and people keep asking why I've reposted the mail here.
2007.02.04 19:34 Hi guys, I'm afraid that the Majority of the command staff of ISSN are leaving.
We're off to empire for a while, and forming a new corp. This will happen within the next 24 hours.
ISSO stopped our funding as soon as we finished fighting for the stations. Since then we've desperately scraped around for isk, and tried desperately to keep things going. ISSN used to be special, and to be treated in this way we found to be unacceptable.
Good luck to those of you wishing to stay. Those leaving are welcome to give us a shout.
Cheers guys,
ISSN Command Team
To all our enemies old and new, it's been a blast and thanks for the fights. We look foward to seeing you around, on whichever side.

Originally by: neutralizer As ex-ISSN who pretty much left for about the same reasons, where are you guys going? I might want to join up with you guys again.
Hey neutralizer, we're forming a corp called The Littlest Hobos (Ichinumi (in Lonetrek) Planet 7 School of applied knowledge). You're welcome along, but we aren't recruiting people from ISSN unless they have already left.

Originally by: M00dy Very interesting. So tell us more about what your new corp is going to be doing.
Currently we're killing a bunch of complex macro miners in low sec
We left during a management meeting, so we haven't really had time to decide what we're doing I'm afraid. I'll keep you all posted.

Ofc, i despise empire though...
Don't we all despise empire.
Thumping a few macro mission runners (who'd believe it) takes up a bit of time and allows us to relax, but I dislike the whole low sec piracy thing.
We're looking at moving to a new alliance in the near future, before Shanda cuts a leg off and replaces it with a wooden one that has a built in parrot feeder. That said I want to be very careful about where we go. I don't fancy having the same sort of problems.

Yarring does lose its appeal after a short while is the problem. Not that many good fights to be found in low sec, and we have a nasty thing about wanting an aim or a goal.
Personally I loved the ideals of ISS, even if I did occasionally want to pod all the haulers

Good to have no obligations at all!
What, no mining? I always said to you guys that it was EVE on 'hard' setting. If you want it on 'easy' just go pirating. But most of us who have left leadership positions in struggling alliances know that feeling so well.
However, there's a storm coming. Do you want to be snug and safe in empire playing with the toys while doomsday devices are destroying entire fleets, and capital ships are being sacrificed like so many tech one frigates out in zero-zero. While others are making the screenshots and fraps and boasting of the victories and defeats and good fights that destroy entire alliances. It does come with the cold damp misery of camping, and POS spamming and struggling to organize allies and friends in the face of apathy and real life obligations and ever depleting wallets.
When the maps are redrawn, would you rather have participated? Or read about it on COAD?
Myn
Oh no you don't. R&R I tell you, none of that grand battles thing, making us all feel left out.
You are right though, there is one hell of a storm coming, and I doubt we will be able to resist joining in. However we want to be somewhere that feels right, where we can enjoy making that difference. There is no way on earth that we are going to just jump into another moral sapping situation.

Originally by: Jon Hawkes I've got a nice high security status after my time in 0.0, so could easily afford to hassle a few AFK complex-runners in low sec. If there is a general scheme for making iskies in place in the corp, count me in and I'll contact you in game this evening.
Complexing and borrowing mods from mission/complex runners currently. We're going to hang in empire/low sec for a little while (might even do a week in Privateers for a laugh). After that we're off to 0.0 again, but we're going to avoid the whole pos thing as much as possible for now and run raiders instead (isk generation disruption stuff), and of course carebear ourselves back in prosperity.
It'll be nice to be able to fight battles without one hand tied behind our backs
