So a Drake would not be able to relaly break that tank unless it had anti ship Heavy Missiles lot's of BCS's and implants + rigs, then you might have a chance at putting that much out. By then you will have spent like a billion anyway.*
plz show me a NH setup tanking 1600dps
It's not problem really, unless you are nosfed. That's with active tank: 6x dg heavy gist XL xtpe, pith b-type amp, 2x dg invul, em hardener(61%+) 3x dg bcu, 2x ts pdu(get officer for perma tank) 2x cap size rigs Won't really run perma, but it can run on auto near 5minutes from full cap. That will tank 1.6k dps without crystal implants. (resists are all above 81%, without gang mods)
Wtf I actually fit monster tank of BS size on BC with what used to be biggest weapon. Shield tank isn't overpowered.
With passive tank, it might be doable: 3x L extenders, 2x dg invul 5x spr em rig, purger
I'll do some math(not sure tbh)... after some number crunching... peak 168hp/s without gang. Maybe with resistance gang module (unsure on resists, if you get them over 87% it should be enough)
that active tank is about 1200 dps tanked
Is it? 950shield @ 3.3s ? (and 1 heavy nosf will ruin your day) Ups i forgot about vulture. For solo tank you need crystals, though.
how 3.3sec?

gang modules with not so perfect skills?
With perfect gang skills it would be just below 3.2s

You read these threads and expect drakes to be unkillable 1v1 yet the majority of the Drakes I see are pretty larmless and go down without too much fuss... not sure what the disparity is...
Arguably my opinions represent to an extent the opinions of my alliance and in particular circumstances give rise to a valid "casus belli" claim. |

cuz those are pve fits, pvp it's useless to have a 1000 DPS tank first of all you'll get killed anyway any gang should have over 1000 DPS 2nd of all what's the point when anyone can get away from your 75 dps

Because if you look back, all these number crunching included perfect skills, perfect setups etc. Truth is usually miles away. Most drakes you met are nubs(2-3month old chars) and easy prey. More skilled know that with caldari you can align all the time and warp to ss as soon as something non-blue comes in local. Or they travel with craptastic setups.
I belive E-R ran into proper drake in delve and could not kill it in like 10 minutes.
And yeah, I agree with deathbarrage, it's quite useless ship with 75dps and 1000dps tank. It can pop intys in 1 volley if they are not iStab crow and use ends here. That's why i use raven for pvp(it's also much cheaper but way stronger). -------- ..... |

Nighthawk is better in every way provided you put in the time and money to make it do everything it is capable of. My skills are nearly perfect and I enjoy it.
If you don't want to put in the effort, stick withe Drake.

Edited by: Lagkills on 06/02/2007 09:04:45 About drake and nighthawk..
I have drake with imba resists BC lvl5, but i use Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II.s. I have 6 HAML fitted in and i think i can fit seventh if i learn my Advanced Weapon Upgrades to lvl4 or 5 (i havent even learned Advanced Weapon Upgrades to lvl1)... Drake does much better damage with 6xHeavy Assault Missile Laucher II.s than 7xHeave Missile Launcher II.s
Fit: 6x HAML II, 3xLSE II, 2x Invu II, 2xPDS II, 1xSPR I, 1x DC II, 2x purge I rigs amd 1x extender rig I

How do you plan on reaching within striking distance of the target?
