Ok, you say, What does this guy mean? I¦ll tell you! Yesterday i warped into a system where two wellknown pirates (no names mentioned) where camping the JIP, I was in an Apoc and they where in 1 Scorpion and 1 Raven. and what happends then?? ill try to lock them but they just warp away and then dock and log = If you are that afraid of loosing a ship and only willing to engage Cruisers and Frigs then play another game like "Pettson&Findus" (a swedish Childgame) or something please!! Im so tired of hunting pirates when all they do is "dock&Log" Me myself dont se the fun in killing frigs and cruisers in a BS, whats the challange in that?? Is someone warping away from you not a victory in itself You, and people like you... who try to dictate to others the way they should be playing their own game, need to give your head a shake. Venture	Posted - 2003.12.12 00:24:00 - [19] I know what you mean by pirates running. Most of the time a player might just have the minimum skills to fly one, but can't fight with it effectively. Other times they just don't want to lose a BS because they are too lazy to pay the 15 mil ISK for insurance. Most Pirate Corp members are basically N00b's. They talk a lot of smack on local to scare you off but it is all a ruse. Not to put down Pirates, but only a few in a Pirate Corp really know how to handle PvP and to effectively pilot and combat. Again, you would rarely encounter a Pirate one-on-one to do combat since they like to run ______________________ Ganja Unlimited Security Director/Fleet Admiral "Smoke everyone and be happy!"

If the pirates were to fight battleships they shouldn't run every time, so the assumptions of pirates only targetting cruisers and frigats seem accurate to me. Shyalud	Posted - 2003.12.12 11:08:00 - [24] Well, anybody can fight anyway they like, and use any tactcic the game allowed, howerver I can say that not one pirate I've challenged has ever faced me in a one on one confrontation. Pirates will fight when, and only when, they have the upperhand. There is always the possibility that there are a few out there that will fight bravely under the right circumstances, but from why I have obsereved, most will not.
Jebidus Skari	Posted - 2003.12.12 11:47:00 - [25] I still find it strange why people can't understand a pirate running off when they feel the cannot win I can't say anything about the incident Arrok is talking about because I wasn't there but, the whole idea of piracy is to make as much money illegitimately with as little risk as possible which means, yeah, pirates will run off a whole lot, at least, I will if I feel outmatched (no shame attached). There's little profit in losing a battleship needlessly in an effort to determine who is the most "l33t" and profit is what piracy is all about (I hope) There seems to be a strange misconception that piracy and PvP (as in fleet battles) should be the same thing. I don't see that as being the case, although I'm sure there are many pirates who will be quick to disagree, whatever. A lot of pirates will put up a fight, a lot will not but please stop expecting them to act according to YOUR style of play. Lastly surely all the hunting makes a kill all the more sweeter? or perhaps, Arrok, you are in the wrong profession
