I think that the point that Buzz is trying to make is that the sticky thread for the New Citizen Q&A contains a lot of outdated links to Evelopedia and there is very little actually in place to replace it.
This is not the only board affected - The Issues and Workarounds board for example is SIGNIFICANTLY affected as most of the pages on troubleshooting and the info they contained are not replicated in the help centre or anywhere else.
It would seem that a general tidy up of the sticky threads in all subforms is needed. A list of missing info could also be useful but that is a bit harder to generate.

Yes and Yes.
Plus, since it is harder for new players to find info if it is not given to them, the fact that new players info is missing will be that much more deconcerting to them.
More new players are asking for info on new player subject matter.
I'm not sure how it is in the EVE Uni in-game chat channel or the Rookie channel, but I presume that yes, things will be overloaded until the info is back online for reference.
Add to that the factor that it takes time to save links with info and to retrieve them a second time.
Most of the info that is too hard to remember may require to be accessed 2 times or more.
+ The work of finding what info is needed per specific tasks and what relates to those specific tasks as secondary and other level of references is going to be more complicated.
Even I still use new player info sometimes.
But now, all the info is gone, all I can do is sort my own info and I can't verify if it is used currenctly or if it is not which also makes it harder for me.
Except that, I'm not quite new.
I'm new to the game with a new connection that doesn't work good enough and I'm testing to add 2 GB DDR3 RAM chips at $5 each + shiping on Amazon or ebay because my computer is slow.
I also have to verify if my power supply is too weak to run the video card I have since it requires a 400 watts power supply to run (I presume that is the minimum recommended power...).
That could be the cause why the cpu is so slow to response and why the RAM is also slow to respond.
The internet is also slow, even with the browser, and it slows my hardware hard disk drive and other devices to run.
Opening new program is slow.
I managed to record video with a screen capture program but it was slow , and I didn't verify, nor edit the video yet.
I just bought a new mic and stereo headphone for $20 and found a nearby store within a 40 minutes walk that also has some compatible with phone and computer.
(Pretty useless though since I can record sound files with the phone mic and it already has stereo headphones.)

And you have gone completely off topic here. I will be honest Buzz, I cannot quite tell if there is a language barrier, you are trolling or it is just the way you are - that is the nature of Internet forums - but tangential, excessive information is a theme with you.
What I will say in response is that seeking advice on your performance issues from knowledgeable people in an appropriate setting is probably a good idea. If you tell them your PC specs and what is slow, they might be able to point you in the right direction. Much like medicine, trying to self-diagnose and treat computer problems can lead to disaster (or just spending money that you don't need to).

Anyways, I found and I'm downloading the 102 MB file with info from the evelopedia compiled by CCP staff despite interruption or potential interruption (from a free bandwidth).
I'll try to read the rest of the "barrier" work you guys are designing and update my systems with that once I get back from work tomorrow.
You guys will never stop trying to say that it is not my language and it is yours and you own it or something.
It is my first language.
Get back to earth.

Ah yes, I see now, my co-worker friend worked for the military intelligence department and I bought my first system from him which still works.
Perhaps you have a better offer for me.
He wants anything valued at over $15,000 (minimum).
$10,000 is not worth it.

This is an ongoing problem with CCP.
The Issues, workarounds, & localization forum has had the same problems and I tried to create threads to let the devs know and there was no response.
In the IW&L the Resources sticky the "Submit a bug report" link gives a 404. The "How to create a bug report" link gives a 404 error. I tried to notify the devs that monitor the forum, but they never fixed the sticky. You'd think a bug report link in a sticky would be fixed on a bug reporting forum. But nope. That was months ago.
My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Yes indeed, this could be a problem leading to other problems if it is not resolved.
The problem lies in lack of appropriate communication and information which can lead to a system entropy.
I don't like it when I'm stuck to be too slow to avoid doing anything.
That is not an efficient system dynamic.

According to admin reports, this was when the porting of the data was conducted.
Pretty sure this is adding to legacy code and it part of the process update system.
I'm not putting a price estimate on it at this point.

I found where the new info is and how it is sorted.
Well done.
I also got the Evelopedia condensed edition zip file on my tablet and McDo refused to let me do anything
on Android Google Chrome from their connection tonight except get in Yolo's Twitch chat with some wierd stuff... Although we made it work, with a mod.

What do you mean?? We (CCP) turned off the only source of semi-official documentation for no reason (except "we're lazy as ****") and now you except us to update the links in the New Citizens Q&A stickies? Are you crazy? This is CCP, we never think anything through or completely implement a feature so it's actually worth anything... it's much better to just go ahead an implement walking-in-closets (or start by deleting the wiki) and then "iterate" on it later, sometime... maybe. Unless we have some other bright idea half-way through and totally abandon the previous project in favor of being awesome or something.
Would be funny, if it wasn't true.

That file is a .zip compressed file with:
Evelopedia Database Copy 2016-02-17.sql
inside.
Does it require a Microsoft SQL database to read it?
If not, which program can read that file.
I found it on my hard disk, even though it's original download link shows it as deleted.
