I've been playing around the same time and am worth less than half of what you claim to have. So yeah, you're doing pretty well. Are you rich? Well, you have more than 90% of players in EVE, but you hardly compare to the guys who really have deep pockets.
Rich in EVE is a portfolio of tech II BPO's, a mothership character, a couple of alt ACCOUNTS, and being CEO of a corp with a membercount above 50 characters. The time which it takes you to get there is less relevant than the actual amount of assets controlled.
For a solo player, yeah, thats good. For EVE you're one of many, even if you have you're head slightly above the rat race.
You're wealth distribution is wrong though, since you have the majority of your assets invested in a ship/fittings, and unless that's a mothership or above (and as cyvok showed, even then...) that is a huge strategic/economical missuse of resources.
For comparison: 880m ISK, 4b in ships (but a lot of them) and possibly another 500m in assets. But I pay with GTC or I would have a couple of billion ISK more, and I'm cruising around playing only a few hours every other day.
Oh, and I have 1.1m LP at my agent, so expect me to be 1.5b isk richer sometime soon.

I'd consider you rich. I've never had nearly as much as you have. If it wasn't acquired through GTC sales, then it's ok. If you had fun in the process, then it even better. It's good you don't have to struggle with ISK as I had to do during my all Eve time. I even got to the point where there was no insensitive to train for the next generation of ships as losing a ship and then grinding for it for 2-3 weeks != fun. I got even to a point where I couldn't imagine myself progressing as a player without a nice T2 BPO in my hangar. But well, that BPO never appeared...

I have 2,5 bil. isk in cash, few hundred loyalty points at some agents, assets of around 1 bil. and a ship that is worth around 10 bil. (actually it's fitting is worth so much). I have implants worth around 2 bil. plugged in my head. I play eve around 11 months.
So what would you say: am i rich ? Or does being rich require at least 20 bil in cash ? Am i maybe even quite poor for a 11 months gametime ?

Umm, how can some people only have 200M after a year or something? I made 400M ISK in a week in 0.0 just salvaging the wrecks other people leave in the belts. That does not include the 500+ named items in my hanger that I have yet to sell. How the hell can a player that is a year old only have 200M in assets?

Because if you have money, you spend money. I once had 1.5 bil, I don¦t anymore. Ships cost money, PVP is fun, why am I writing like this?
So to recap: Ships/Modules cost money, PVP is expensive ^^

ur rich when u have what u want and can do what u want and have set ur own "rich" standard,
i have 2.6b in wallet, billions on market, can buy what i want/need, can do what i want without anyone`s permission
am i rich? perhaps to alot of ppl but for myself, not really... only have 2 real friends of wich i can trust every penny and know it`s safe and the same way around (i hope)
my "rich" terms are when ppl will trust u blindly in word and actions, if it`s for 1 isk or 1trillion isk or agreed deals/promises
so "rich" is defined only by 1 person and that`s you

Yes...You're rich!
But you'd be happier if you were poorer. My guess is you take too few risks - and taking risks after all is what really makes us happy - not a long string of numbers in a wallet.

You so funny. If he is playing to make ISK and is happy doing that, then I doubt your having more fun then he is. If you think that everyone has to do what you think is fun for it to be fun, then your not richer, just dumber.
Or
Life is a game and ISK is how we keep score if your a capitalist.

Originally by: EPSILON DELTA You are as rich as the amount of spare time you have to spend on eve, the average dedicated mission runner makes a billion a week and a half for playing 2 hours a day, if you play more than you can easily make 15 billion in less than 2 month
if you find that much spare time and you could withstand the sheer boredom of grinding missions every single day, you better be rich.
I do a fair share of missions, not so much through the week but I make up for it on the weekends. I can't really esimate my worth, but i can tell you that that sum is total bull.
This past weekend my pvp alt had some nasty losses(2x harbinger, 2x vengeance, 2x arbitrator tech 2 fitted) and I only have about half the isk that I started with Friday...and the alt is lacking a ship atm. I get to pvp for a day or two and then grind for a week to get it back.
It's not possible to make that kind of isk, only playing two hours a day. With my schedule, I get at most two storylines a week..and the last three have paid out a total of 4.5mil or less counting bounties/rewards...I haven't seen an implant in a month. It's not like we get a 200mil implant every day. I've probably seen two really good implants the ENTIRE time I have been doing missions(since july or something). That, and 99% of the agent offers isn't so hot. The offer I see people bring up most is the 500k lp faction battleship bpc offer...
500k lp(the max you can get for a top-end mission in high sec is around 7100) 200mil isk About 93-94 worth of minerals to build
Sells for a bil? Not quite. The last CNR I sold, I was only able to get 850mil for.
Blah, but anyway, the "average" missionrunner doesn't make anywhere near that amount.

Omfg, how long did it take to mission ***** to get that?. I would have quit eve before going through the mediocre experience of agent missions for iskies.
Saying that though, I am quite poor and would like iskies for new toys (and skills) and maybe some +5 implants to train up an alt
2.5 bil is quite a bit, but did you actually enjoy getting it?.

Those ships I donated to the corp to help the the five¦s tournement team when I left the game for about half a yeah (didn¦t thought I would be back), well now I¦m back, broke but loving it

I have 3 bil in Isk and probably 1 bil in Ships spread across two accounts. If I could persuade myself to part with that Isk and actualy make it work for me I could be a lot wealthier I suppose. OTOH I don't spend much money so why bother?
As for the poster three years old with only a couple of hundred mil - how did you achieve that? I haven't had less than 500 mil in Isk since my first six months. Given a battleship or a Covetor I can pull in 100mil a week in Empire on only a couple of hours a day. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

And where you have found this curios data? "the average dedicated mission runner makes a billion a week and a half for playing 2 hours a day" At 10-20 million/hour, at best it is 400 millions, for 2 hours of active mission running.
Or your average is the one with CNR, officer fitting, all connection skills to 5? That is top running my dear.

miners and industrialists measure they skills through they wallets pvpers measure they skills on a killboard. yes i am rich atm but that is only because i sold 5 alts. as long as i have enough isk to fit a thorax and buy a new clone then i am happy

you are rich when u can afford a decent BS whit good fittings and not worry if u loose it or not.
iv got about 1,5bil in wallet + a bil worth of ships what 90% are pvp ships and the rest of them are my ships i use to make money :P

Until about a fortnight ago I was a member of the "In since retail never had a billion ISK" club, but lowsec pirating in Placid sure nets you some nice loot.
I dont really see having a lot of isk as a good thing, im giving VERY serious thought to Corpuming up my Astarte which will only end in tears when I leeroy it into a gatecamp.
