There are tons of probs this time for the paying costumer, but I really can understand that since there is a monster project going on. What I don't understand, is the ignorant behaviour of CCP. If the costumer pay for a full service during times this full service isn't available, the should be a sorry for the inconvinience AND a thank you for understanding AND some little useful gift as a redemption. Please no virtual t-shirt. How about a smaller skill injection or stuff like this.
I really can't believe, that CCP take all the downtimes and problems for granted. Please remember, that we paid chash for a full service and your internal problems has nothing to do with the costumer, as long as you don't charge i.e. half the price for the months regarding the problems. So keep in mind, that you are obliged to deliver what you get paid for.
Please overthink the situation and do something to show that you care about your costumers.
Thanks and regards |

They have announced that they're giving everybody 200,000 skillpoints, this weekend. Didn't you see the two four "thank you" threads? Looks like they just gave the SP, so check in-game. |

Just remember CCP hate down times as much as we do.
A) customers get upset B) they are under extra pressure to get it working ASAP C) there personal work is not working and for people like the DEVs that sucks D) the eve employess not at work most of them play eve cant either at this time. assuming they are not called in to help fix the issue.
Just in case you didn't notice they made a dev blog the other day saying they were sorry for the recent issues to do with hardware and dB changes. And infact tonight as advertised the other day we got 200k sp added to our accounts to compensat us. Something useful and way more skill-points than you would have trained on the specificity bad day,
Bear with them they will get it back to good old eve asap!

You must have missed the skillpoints that we gifted today, and the apology we made for service disruption last week.
The upgrade to Tranquility has been an incredible challenge, because it also included a physical move of datacenters too, but we're hoping that after a few small teething issues, we'll be back in good shape again.
Right now, the focus is on making sure that things head back to maximum stability again.

Ok. I'll bite.
CCP did not expect the level of downtime that they have had to endure. Technology can sometimes be a fickle mistress and that can mean, on occasion, unscheduled downtime. No company can commit to a 100% uptime.
CCP have also given us an apology, as well as 200,000 free skill points. CCP also have been known to extend current subscriptions by lengths of time - however, such hasn't been done in a few years and I doubt that will happen again, unless the servers have a infestation of malign hamsters which knock them out for a few days.

CCP FALCON, Firstly I have never liked you - just putting that out there, its not because your a bad guy your just the DEV i love to hate (all though fozzie I think may beat you there now)
BUT i want to thank you and the DEV and GM team plus the volunteers who are always working to make this game as good as possible. I would love to join the ISD team to help out and be part of an awsome team. when I turn 21 this year but given my trolling history I am probably on the auto reject list there :P
Regardless you guys are always working hard to make this game as good as possible, from hardware to software and dB changes, and putting up with angry players when things go wrong as they do on spreadsheet simulators such as eve.
To you specificity thanks for being in touch with us each night and giving us all this info, its making me like you that little bit more :P
and while its unrealistic to expect or ask you to thank the DEV team for one individual player, I hope you all know that most players appreciate all your hard work. THANK YOU CCP

I dont speak for CCP but personally I would say.
Firstly the devs have been working hard when there have been TQ issues and Falcon has always posted whats going on and given us updates.
If you actually learn to fricken read the forums properly you will see in general discussions Falcon always puts a post at the top. Stop being a whinney baby ranting "I want I want I want".

What are you complaining about? CCP have fulfilled your criteria; there has been an apology and compensation issued in the form of 200,000 SP.

So keep in mind, that you are obliged to deliver what you get paid for. CCP's uptime is in line with industry standards; furthermore you don't pay cash for a full service, you pay cash to be able to access the server and in no way does CCP guarantee that you will always be able to do so.
EULA, section 11 wrote:There is no warranty against interference with your enjoyment of the Game. CCP does not warrant that the operation of the System or your access to the System, or that your use of the Software, will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that the System or Software will be compatible with your hardware and software.
While CCP attempts to have the System available at most times, CCP does not guarantee that the System will always be available, or that the System will not become unavailable during Game play. The System may become unavailable for a number of reasons, including without limitation during the performance of maintenance to the System, for the implementation of new software, for emergency situations and due to equipment or telecommunications failures.whether express or implied, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability, fitness for particular purpose and non-infringement. TL;DR Do be quiet, CCP are well within the terms contained in the EULA that you agreed to when you started playing.

SP is not enough. True penance requires ritual self abasement. CCP should set a sacrificial dev (CCP Seagull or Falcon?) afloat in Jita in an appropriate ship (an avatar?) as a penance event, where the playerbase can hurl abuse and missiles to demonstrate the extreme frustration felt from not being able to play their favorite game for an hour or two or three (as the case may be). Oh the humanity! |

You got something like 3-4 days of free skillpoints for 3-4 hours of downtime. And a more reliable game running on new hardware. And an apology from the devs.

I dunno guys, he may have a point. CCP have made recompense to their Customers but they have done nothing that we know about for their costumers. I am all for Costumer rights but why do we need to give them any recompense when they are already paid to design costumes for our characters... |
