Sarum was a mistake that needed fixing. Either increase the security level or as Viceroy pointed out take it off the list for agent missions.
The one good thing it did was get a lot of people's attention who've been comfortably sitting in some .4 backwater mining jaspet.

Good for CCP, about time they did something about this.
Most n00b ships are spies and they present themselves as such over local chat.
You get a warning that entering 0.4 space is dangerous and you safety isn't garaunteed (astonishingly accurate message ) even though most have switched it off a very long time ago. If a n00b ignores this warning then it's at his own risk and if he gets ganked he should learn from the experience.
And Fausto you haven't a clue, never have, never will so please don't post more ignorant comments

Unless you have autopilot set, like say you're running your very first agent mission and it's still interesting and exciting (wow! go there get this and bring it back! cool!  ) and it tells you to go to some place called Sarum Prime and the AP doesn't display the lowsec warning and you've been playing for 30 minutes and you're dead and what the **** just happened.
But you can keep pretending that doesn't happen if you wish. I realize you don't care and it doesn't affect you, but in good Pie rat style CCP is looking after their own arse and trying to block off some user bleed at the source, so good for them.
If you had an ounce of sense you'd be sending CCP flowers and candy right now. Every n00b that doesn't quit is bound to pass your way with something ACTUALL VALUABLE in a month or 2, and with the changes ocurring with gates and jumping you're going to be out of the JIPs and back at some profitable gates where you belong in no time. Take a breath, think, reevaluate, see the light...

I agree with Hardin. It is hard to imagine the seat of any Amarr great family to be a low-sec system. 0.5+ makes a lot of sense.
As for noob ganking and all, CCP in general has to sort the AP and low-sec warnings. I also think there should be a secondary warning aside from the general warning that is triggered when the system you're about to jump into shows more than (arbitrary number) 1-5 pod or PC ship killings in last 24 hours.
The reason that people disable those low-sec warnings are that they are functionally meaningless. I travel/operate in 0.0 90% of my gameplay and it's safer (most of the time) than some 0.4s. I've disabled the low sec space one, but I might actally not disable a warning if it was specific to my next jump and was specific to destroyed PC ships or pod-kills. Lord knows I've forgotten to check an AP a time or two whilst flying a shuttle, and ended up passing through (or getting caught) in a 0.4 filled with "undesirables".
Overall though, pirates will operate somewhere. The strong will operate in 0.0 space and take their chances with alliances and pirate hunters. The weak will always find a way to gank noobs and indys and run away anytime they are opposed by a single cruiser I'm guessing most will go back to the low sec chokepoints in Lonetrek...
