Help i am a newbie and i am too afraid to go to systems where pirates are but i would like because there are better rats. :( Once some guy attacked at me and destroyed my rookie ship. :(
what should I do?
when are those batttleships that go over 8km/s nerfed? I am sure that ccp won't do anything to them!

What should you do?
You should train more skills.
You should join a corp that opperates in low sec/0.0 and work as a team.
You should learn to use your scanner.
There are many more things you may do to lower the chance of getting yourself ganked, however I think the ones you should concentrate on first are the three I listed.
.... Oh, and if you're looking to just kill NPCs, you may want to consider mission running. Level 3 missions aren't too difficult to get to and you're able to do them in high sec. The payout for the rat bounties on level 3 missions are more than anything you'll find in low sec.

Simply put, go pirate in lowsec for a bit. Once you get a feel for it, you'll understand how pirates find you. I do the odd bit of lowsec piracy (am running missions now to get cash for ships so I can get back to it), it's great fun and gets your heart pumping.
On the slow days when I can't find any targets I go ratting in mostly empty lowsec systems. It's risky, but I wouldn't be upset if another pirate showed up as I rat in a PvP rigged ship.
In order to get into a bit of piracy, get the skills to fit a webber and scram. Once you've got that fly one of the better T1 frigs available to your race and give it a shot. There are plenty of scanner guides available in the resource links of the C&P forum.
Even if you end up never pirating again, at least you'll have an appreciation of how it works.

Yeah, probably, but on the off chance it wasn't I gave a sensible answer.
After reading the forums for a bit I'm kinda over people whinging about this, that and the next thing. I'll encourage any thread that actually might produce some sensible discourse.

0.0 is safer then lowsec try to skip past it ;P
just avoid combat with other people untill you get more skillpoints under your belt then you can rat a much as you want : )
