It might good to have ship classes detailed next to member names in the 'My Fleet' window. This may help FC's more effectively organise the composition of the squads in their fleets to enable better tactical deployment of their members. A simple three letter coding system or your icon labeling system might suffice.

Organizing your fleet is one of the basic skills of FCing. If you need the game to do that for you, then you shouldn't be FCing. |

Yes, the 'My Fleet' window might make things easier to visually digest the composition of the squads within your fleet, unless the fleet composition already does so at the moment... |

Now most of the comments in here are from total *** hats who like to troll.
If I understand what the OP is wanting - without having to open the fleet composition window is to know which ship his fleet members are flying.
I fly with some of the best FCs Provi, and I don't know how many times they have to ask about our ship types - people dock up and change ships, people get deshipped and reship etc. The FC has so many things to things to concentrate on, the last thing they need is a big ass window taking up more space.
To achieve what the OP wants, the Fleet Window would need a facelift, it is already a hog for space.
Maybe after all the camera changes the Fleet Window is next in line for cleaning up.
