OMG stop your whining!!
nothing should be safe in low sec. that's the whole idea. SB's are the only way to really kills shuttles at gates and aren't that easy to use.
If you want safety try WOW!!!!!!

Get a gang together and take them out, if a good number of the BS are only fitting smartbombs + getting boosted by ginger's carrier it shouldn't be that difficult.
The bomber BS need no boosting from anyone and of course always wear as many stabs as the ship will allow :-)
Yeah that's the point. difficult to kill because they're the only combat bs that can run efficiently with full stabs. rokh with shield tank, sb's and full stabs is very effective. i wish i didn't have this big moral dilema with fitting stabs tbh

Believe me, it's not always that. You guys got me yesterday, probably same camp as got the OP. Probably gonna set my gameplay back a month or two, BTW. But the way it worked for me is that when I warped in, I got two frames - each lasting about 3 seconds. One frame with everyone flashing red on overview, and my ship down to maybe a tenth of struct - while still in warp and 1700 m from the gate. Since I'm still in warp, nothing to interact with. Second frame of animation - im in a pod. No fireworks. Also in struct. Also still in warp. Also still can't jump.
Then I'm in my clone's station. Not writing to vent or point fingers. The game is what it is. Just thought you'd like to know. Also, that's the first time my compy has lagged substantially, I'm sure from all the wrecks and smartbomb fx. So it's a pretty unpleasant experience. Now that I know, I'm warning everyone I can.
And one day, I'll getchya back for it in game. 
So your saying you saw in local that there was a lod of pirates in system and u didn't scout the gate first?
