We have now finished selecting 14 pilots to help us decide on the rules of the Eve Corporation League.
The pilots are (in no particular order):
- Hardin, Imperial Dreams, Curatores Veritatis Alliance
- Odhinn Vinlandii, New Order Nation
- Ideaus, Joint Espionage and Defense Industries
- Ty Rone, Omni-Core Freedom Fighters
- KIAEddZ, KIA Corp, KIA Alliance
- Sgt Napalm, Synergy Evolved, Serenity Fallen
- Dasjan Xerzd, Pirrhus Sicarrii
- Rackar Al'Ulqua, Archaic Iniquity, X-PACT
- Sergej, Trinity Nova
- Lexor Slice, Black Nova Corp, Band of Brothers
- Luthair Stonedog, Turbulent Subversion
- Kotori, Sacred Templars, Destiny
- Pilk, Dirty Deeds Corp, Axiom Empire
- thestonedpriest, Rogue Method, Rogue Method Alliance
Along with these pilots, two members of CCP and one EveTV person will spend the next few weeks deciding on rules for the ECL.

& i Assumed it was for the corps of EVE, i take it i'm wrong, won't be bothering to watch this 1 then..Its all just EGO flinging once the alliances are involved..gutt'd..great idea gone **** up again

Now seriously... seeing as this will be a pvp thing... im not sure why there are no members from reputed pvp forces... i mean... cmon
just what comes to mind:
MC, AAA, D2, (maybe a BE)
i don't mean to say that the names on your list are not good pvp-ers but having the rules set by a guy from a corp i never heard about... is strange even tough himself might be a good pvp-er... is all about how things are seen

I have to apologise.
I turned up for the first meeting but shortly after I had a complete system crash that resulted in me losing all my channels and basically having to reinstall game.
As a result I missed subsequent meetings and have been so busy with other things last week that haven't followed up until now. I am not even sure if I still have the relevant contact details/eve mails.
Will try and get back to this if I am not too late...
Too much Minnie killing lately :(

As for reputable PvP forces, I'm sure there's enough experience between us to make do. Also, remember that this event was slated for the little guy and thus maybe it's those whose voices were most wanted as input in the format and rules? Just my view, nothing personal.

Put decent manpower into this and I think it's inevitable that way more players/corps will get a taste of PvP and learn to love it. (And then tell their non-EVE playing friends how good the game is - more enthusiastically than they already do I mean - hence giving you good ROI for your manpower).
Right now a lot of people are put off PvP simply because it takes a lot of time to find good quality fair action, getting ganked is much more likely. The PvP learning curve is, if not steep, at least very time consuming. Some fast-track action can only be a good thing.
I'd say also this is getting more and more important as the barriers to entry of the veteran PvP corps (where all the knowledge and experience is) grow for new players. The average new player figures something like "I'll PvP in 6 months, I'm too noob now", gets that confirmed by being turned away from an established corp cos he doesn't have 5mil SP, and then puts all his SP into mining anyway and becomes a life long carebear. Easy access to PvP will convince both the new guys and the elitist corps that it isn't all about skill points, and allow talented groups of new players to get noticed.
