Tell me something: Does Band of Brothers believe, deep in the adytum of its own mind, that we have no reason to be fearful about the criminally violent trends in our society today and over the past ten to fifteen years? This isn't such an easy question to answer, but let me take a stab at it: It keeps insisting that my bitterness at it is merely the latent projection of libidinal energy stemming from self-induced anguish. To me, there is something fundamentally wrong with that story. Maybe it's that Band of Brothers likes to posture as a guardian of virtue and manners. However, when it comes right down to it, what it is pushing is both laughable and hidebound. So, sorry for being so long-winded in this letter, but telling the truth is too much trouble for fickle gits bent on getting their way.
