I used to go to Evelopedia for these sorts of things
From what I understand, it's the Jovian regions.

Jove space, aka, CCP playground.
My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

They are two separate areas - The A821-A and J7HZ-F regions are Jovian while UUA-F4 is CCP's and contains Polaris. |

And before someone asks the question; no, no one can enter Jove space.
Why?
Lore Reason: The Jovians are isolationists. More than that, they understand that if their advanced technology (we are talking an order of magnitude more advanced) got into the wrong hands, it would allow one group to amass enough power to be a threat to them. So they just feed little "table scraps" here and there and keep us fighting among ourselves. Also... when the Amarr Navy tried to conquer the Jove, they responded by wiping out the Amarr fleet. Granted, this was in pre-capsuleer days and technology has advanced since then. But no one is in any rush to test their meddle against beings who basically invented capsuleer technology and have an intel network so great that they know your ship's fit before you even conceive of it.
Gameplay reason: Keeping one group of NPCs "in the shadows" affords the DEVs a "plot device" for both the lore and for gameplay changes. For example: if the DEVs ever decided to redo the stars in the game, they could chalk it up to a "firmware upgrade" that was graciously given by the Jovians (who, again, conveniently invented capsuleer tech). It also gives the DEVs a way to exist in the game without totally breaking immersion. They simply show up in Jovian ships and sit in a system smugly chugging their foamy beers.

We get teased with the possibility of Jovian space opening up to us from time to time. With the recent drifter stuff lots of people have speculated that Jove space could be opening up to us. However I've not heard anything solid on that yet. My guess is that 10 years from now we could still be getting teased with that. |

That is not correct many years ago two players managed to get into Jove space with not so intentional help of GMs by supplying location data that may or may not have been a lie in a stuck petition. They found the place to be rather boring. There where stations, belts and stargates.

Actually, the initial plan was to allow players to change into Jove for some end game reason. Why you would want to look like a freak was not explained. CCP never came up with a good idea what to do with Joves so the idea never became a plan that can be executed. WIth the new character faces (mine used to be a lot prettier ofc) Jove faces (many devs had them on their dev chars) vanished. As it seams Drifters are now finishing of what was left over by CCPs neglect to turn Jove into game play.

Every time you die and a clone is activated the content of your mind is transmitted over a network the Jove will listen to. They know what porn you like. see: Inheritance

In the early days of Wormholes some people got into Jove space because the coders hadn't excluded those regions from possible WH exits.

I talked with an 03 player at one point. He claimed to have been in the game since early beta and said that he had a jovian character at one point. They wiped the server data base when the game went from beta to live and when the game officially came out being Jovian was not a choice.
So it would seem that at one point during beta players could be jovian. I know that does not have much bearing on the actual game but I thought that it was worth noting that CCP has already gone through the effort to code that race into the game. They may not have released them to us but the work behind the scenes was done. |

And there's a reason some npc corps iirc don't have agents any more ;) |
