 With the "leaked" T2 Battleship video on eve-files and the stated goal that a tech 2 battleship shouldnt be some OMGWTFPWNed ultraHAC, anyone have any interesting speculations on how they might turn out? one thread posted some "interesting" stats, but no info on the "bonuses".
 
 Anyways my speculation or rather hope is that they might turn t2 battleships into some sort of elite submarine type of ship where they get a bonus (like the stealth bomber) to cloak speed. Would be interesting to have a roamining gang that flies around with cloaked battleships lurking in space waiting to pounce upon someone.
 
 Any other hopes or speculations on the role of T2 Battleships?

 I vote for recon-BSes. Can you just imaging a Battleship class version of a curse? HOLY CRAP!
 
 For game balance reasons though I can't imagine a way to make a T2 Battleship worth the cash and also not be overpowered. Oh well, another way to keep the younger player down. Good thing my characters actually have some age on em now! I like being on top!

 "Holy crap!" is right! That'd be unbelievably awesome, but like you say, there probably isn't a way around making them overpowered.
 
 But I'd still vote for a Recon BS, what an interesting thought...

 To be perfectly frank, why NOT have Super Heavy Assault Ships?
 
 I've not heard one good reason other than 'I'd never be able to afford one, so you can't have one'.

 T2 BSs ? Hmm, how about ability to use BOTH normal gates AND jumpdrives (need a jumpdrive module for that one, not mandatory on all setups) and the ability to use siege modules. Yep, that's about it, nothing more really needed. Pocket dreads able to go into highsec whenever they want.

 Ok, I wan't aware that the Baalgorn got a Nos range bonus. Or a tracking disruptor bonus. Or a drone damage bonus. Let my put it this way:
 
 Battleship class Curse:
 
 Amarr Battleship Skill Bonus: 5% bonus to Tracking Disruptor effectiveness and 10% bonus to drone hit points and damage per level.
 
 Tech2 Battleships Skill Bonus: 40% bonus to Energy Vampire and Energy Neutralizer range and 20% bonus to Energy Vampire and Energy Neutralizer transfer amount per level
 
 200m3 drone bay (enough for 1 set heavies, 1 set mediums, and 1 set lights)
 
 Enough lows to nano the hell out of it, enough mids to fit a crapload of Ewar, and enough grid and high slots to fit at least 3 heavy nos.
 
 OMG Unbalanced.

 Though i saw the stats for the apoc, they werent english characters and it had like 5 turret points and launcher points and a dev replied that the stats were not final.
 
 These arent even formally announced yet so i wouldnt exactly expect full stats for them anytime soon.

 I'm sure CCP doesnt have 100% of its staff able to do 100% of the work. Bug Hunters are unrelated to content developers.

 I read a suggestion that t2 bs's should be very similar to there t1 counterparts just with loads of rig slots and masses of calibration which I thought was an awesome idea.
 
 Imagine the ultimate in customisable ships, with the right rigs you could turn it into a tanking monster or the longest range sniper ever to exist or how about the fastest, totally customisable to your own needs.

 Personally I think that's what should happen with all T2 ships rather than being pigeonholed into roles, you train the hull then use it how you want...kinda like with tech 1 ships.
 
 But everyone will expect t2 BS to be ultra sp intensive and super expensive ships.

 Stealth field emitter ships.
 
 They could stay at a ss and project a sphere like in a pos.
 All friendly ships in the sphere would be inivisible on scanner and almost impossible to find with probes (like a deadpsace area).
 
 It would be a perfect mobile base for refueling/repairing and for carriers assigning fighters.

 How about a Bombardment Class Battleship?
 
 Smaller than a capital ship, bigger than a battleship and can fit a siege module (i.e. they'd have massive reductions to the module as a special bonus) for use with regular large turrets and has the ammo capacity for prolonged engagements (large cargo or an extra 25% cap reduction large turrets for amarr (on top of the usual 50% at lvl 5) or whatever ).
