Suicide gankers aren't motivated by radical religious reasons. They are motivated by the need for tears.
They are less Al'Queda and more space thugs who breaks people's legs even after they got their protection money, just because they can.

- Thinks of himself as a noble white-knight - Calls other players Nazis, al Quaida and ISIS for stuff they do in a computer game - Claims to hunt them down - Killboard is completely red and contains only dead fail-fitted industrials

I didn't claim to have hunted them down, I'm only playing for about 8 months and have yet to grasp most concepts you talk about here. I just claim that I personally have fun looking at the eve universe in this way. You showing you couldn't read that clearly out of a short simple post as well as defending the suicide gankers makes you closer aligned to RL ISIS than you might be comfortable with.. . I am hopelessly weak and under skilled in the game but getting shot without being provoked has motivated me much to continue playing and someday give payback to the Isis pilots. |

It's nice that this has motivated you to stay in the game. Actually this is what we say the whole time and CCP has even proven to be correct: People who get killed are more likely to stay with EVE.
However, it is in no way acceptable to call other players Nazis or ISIS just because they play the bad guys in a video game. Please keep this RL stuff out of the game ok?

It doesn't make you want to quit the game? That's all carebears ever claim. This can't be happening.
Think of the carebears. How can they continue to claim shooting players in highsec is bad? This is evidence to the contrary. It doesn't fit the preconceived ideas. |

Discussion of real life religion and politics is strictly prohibited on the EVE Online forums. Discussions of this nature often creates animosity between forum users due to real life political or military conflicts. I've often found that throwing someone a bone results in them convo'ing me every day for weeks trying to get more bones.
On the other hand - I regularly scan down relic sites and create pouncing bookmarks in them. When a neutral rolls through doing sites, I often just sit there and watch them - wondering if they're mashing dscan or flying carefree in hostile space doing exploration. I've never ganked any of them.
I guess they don't even know it most of the time, especially when there's a station in system, but there it is, my form of being kind. |

Somewhere there is a fantastic article about how EVE is not a sandbox because there is absolutely no incentive to play 'the good guy' and in fact will almost certainly be punished for it. This stems from many parts of how the game is built, from a criminal status system that has no real importance, faction standings that provide no benefits (or punishments), no mechanics that reward anti-bad-guy activities (bounties are about it), etc.
In many ways this makes EVE the harsh world you call it - and thus unique. I personally agree it would be nice to, you know, be nice...but to create such a culture or environment in EvE is nigh impossible without fundamentally altering how EvE plays. Your best bet would be pacifying hisec...but then that just limits it to one (small) area of the whole game.
The solution is, of course, unknown. Equally unknown is whether or not there is even a problem. Many here already believe EvE is exactly as it should be: a game for only the ruthless. |

Hello there OP.
Can I reintroduce to you my special offering of hell in Eve?
Why? because you likened people being so called "Morally Questionable" in a game... to be the same in RL.
See you soon. :)
Just btw... when I kill a noob, I replace his loss with more than it was worth with an explanation why it happened and the future he can look forward to if he chooses to become a terrorist in eve.

You obviously think too much of yourself. I've been flying a falcon for weeks now. Lost one last night actually. Has nothing to do with you friend.
Look, you wardeccing us is just part of the game. I lose ships all the time.
I've been talking about things like Camp Stealing, outright scamming others and other things that are personal decisions to dishonestly take advantage of others or use game mechanics that prohibit recourse against others.
As far as the wardec, I'm sure you'll enjoy having hundreds of ships to play with. :)

You equated actions in a digital realm with those in the real world, if it was any other game you may well have had a point, because they are generally against the rules; but this is Eve where those actions are not considered to be immoral by the devs, and are indeed somewhat encouraged.

I Managed to play eve since 2004 without being a douche and still enjoy myself.
It IS possible NOT to be a jerk in this game.
Then again, there are nasty people in RL as well, so why shouldn't there be in EVE? I mean, it's not Hello Kitty Online. |

Oh, and as always, undocking in this game constitutes consent to PVP. That has nothing to do with cheating in a relationship, or any of the other things people can do irl to hurt others.

I dont understand the hype. So, a guy with a God complex reads my thread and decides to wardeck an industrial corp and everyone rides his jock? Yeah, we will lose ships. He's not wardeccing a PVP corp like WINGSPAN or MARMITE, PIRAT or any of the other main PVP corps in the game. He's just some guy trying to build his kill mails on a few low level pilots to fuel his ego that apparently, so many here have no problem stroking.
I'm sorry, but that means nothing to me.
