so I been wondering around and around regarding doing dual boxing for L4 using the new T3 BC. Which 2 ship should pair up nicely, with each other.
OO, I'm in Gallent space, so mostly serp, angel, and merc rat. |

Drake / Myrm + whatever.
The Tier-3s are bad choices for missions in general, and L4s in particular. You'll want a more versatile ship to do the tanking and to clear out all the small crap.

If you have to use BCs, I'd recommend Drake for tank, and the new minnie BC (W/ autocannons) for killing BS rats. The drake can handle the little stuff fine, its got 25m3 drone bay. |

heavy missiles do a pretty good job on the small stuff as well. |

Just the other day I got a small group doing some missions for fun, and from what I could see an autocannon Tornado works quite well for the dps, so as long as it doesn't need to tank its good, or if you can get someone in a logi to rep it should it take fire. |

If you are bringing a logi to a L4 mission, you are doing it wrong. Bring a drake or a BS instead so that you don't have to tank with your contruction-paper hulled T3 BC. |

Most L4 missions we get where I am have spawns so even if you try to get one ship to be tanking the other still gets aggro, thus we have a logi. One of our guys dual boxes with a logi anyway so he doesn't need reppers on his dps boat. So we just tank based off what logi he using. |

I just started playing around with Tier 3 BC's and the ONLY one I'll take on a mission is a Talos. It is the only one with a dronebay. And you REALLY should be using t2 drones to make even THAT work in a reasonable amount of time. Train up BS, Large Hybrids (which are so much better now!), Large Armor Repair and research that mission you're going to run BEFORE running it. Just my 2 cents worth.

If you can bring a logi to the fight you can fit 3 remote repping BC's or better yet 3 remote repping BS's and fit them for heavy DPS. Then again, the new BC's might work well in a rr gang. IDK, haven't tried. But seriously, why throw away one pilot's worth of DPS on a logi? Logi has it's place, but not in a 3 man fleet. It's like shooting yourself in the foot just before a race.

And a talos... Works great for L4 missions in this group, it has a drone bay. Talos should never tank a L4 mission. You can fit two armor rep's on a talos but that takes a lot of tweaking and your resists are crap. |
