B. Selling Items and Objects

You may not transfer, sell or auction, or buy or accept any offer to transfer, sell or auction (or offer to do any of the foregoing), any content appearing within the Game environment, including without limitation characters, character attributes, items, currency, and objects, other than via a permitted Character Transfer as described in section 3 above. You may not encourage or induce any other person to participate in such a prohibited transaction. The buying, selling or auctioning (or any attempt at doing so) of characters, character attributes, items, currency, or objects, whether through online auctions, newsgroups, postings on message boards or any other means is prohibited by the EULA and a violation of CCP's proprietary rights in the Game.

Just offer isk prizes...

I don't *think* the EULA actually prevents offering a cash prize since you're not actually selling anything...but it feels close to the mark.

i've been organizing arranged fights and small tournaments lately, I noticed that adding a bigger prize pool makes a tournament so much more interesting to capsuleers.

- To take this concept even further, I would like to make a request that CCP supports ingame organizers by giving them some sort of "tokens" that could be converted either into ISK or into USD, the organizers would give them out as tournament prizes.
- organizers will have to apply to get their hands on those tokens.

I think this could be a good way to spark the competitive scene in the game because capsuleers will have a career path which is sustainable, accessible, viable, and fitting with the style of the game

If this happens, the idea of taxing game money as real money income is going to show back up in in legislative chambers.
If that happens, MMORPGing might get a lot more expensive.
