Was d/ced from game.. tried to login again but to no avail as launcher didn't work.
After which I tried to login again but got the message "Handshake failed - server failure"
Would appreciate updates. Thanks :)

Ditto. Timing was very close to 11AM DST UK, possible that bits of the Eve infrastructure were updated for DST and others weren't... |

Same. Chribba's Eve-Offline page doesn't show any problems. On his page the smoke is leaking out of the servers in the normal manner. |

Same thing here too.
It's actually really sad that a company that has been running a game for so long has such poor technical skills at maintaining system servers. I understand that recently there was a switch to new hardware, but that's all it was. The networking protocols didn't change because of new hardware.
Get your network in order CCP. How appalling!

Same trouble , it is like the server reboot by itself and stuck in a weird state .
So got the characters choice windows and selected one do nothing

Handshake failed here too, and the launcher doesn't even ask for my password now. Bypassing the launcher works. |
