Again.....dipstick = thing for checking engine oil........what am I missing?

Now don't get like that. A dipstick is a measuring tool. Its just a tool, its evil or good is determined by the actions of the one that wields it.
Kind of like the Triforce in Zelda, only not quite as potent.
