I have complosed some of my thoughts together into one large document and uploaded it to my Clan Information portal as it is too large to view here.
Discuss it if you all wish. I am sure many will disagree with what is being said there still so have your say. This is just my attempt to put the shards of the whole argument together for all to see.
Personal Statement
it is quite large, and as well it should be given the complexity of the situation we currently face in the Republic, as well as the history leasing towards it that should not be ignored. ------

Quote: The call for Admiral Filmir's resignation was not because of the act he did, but the way in which he did it. It was deceptive and unworthy of a fleet officer. ...
I respect that he followed his orders as a soldier of the Republic and he had conviction that it needed to be done. However, I am talking about the honour involved, or rather the lack of it. As I had said in my speech, his actions had brought shame to him and his position regardless of who's design it was.
Admiral Filmir was apparently a good soldier who understood that duty stands above personal honor and one sometimes has to make sacrifices for the good of many.
On the other hand, its not surprising that people that promote personal freedom over everything else have a problem with keeping one¦s word and the concept of responsibility...

Very well written indeed Darius Shakor.
I would like to propose that Elsbeth take it upon her to write something similar, bringing actions to the light, that reflect upon the sucessful decisions Midular and the goverment has taken.
Why?
Simply because this comes down to what every matari should reflect over and give deep thoughts, and thus he/she will need more then one perspective.
Personally there is much for me to consider and think about regarding many things. As most know I have been a very devoted supporter of Midular until not very long ago. But do not forget the "until such time" was included in my/our last statement.
Many are the reasons why I will not speak against nor for any party at the moment, the future will unfold and then I do believe everyone will be forced to have cleared up their minds. I would just like to urge EVERYONE to consider and think long and hard before taking a firm stance.

I can see you pondered a long, and choosed your words carefully brother.
This shows the mudthrowers, there is an attempt to express deep rooted feelings with words instead of gunfire.
All those people out there claiming U'K of warmongering should keep their mouth shut until they've read the statement..
Even though it is expressing a purely personal and subjective view opposing to a official u'k statement - it reflects what many of our warriors feel and think.
But not all of us are talented with words.
Beeing a Brutor, i already reach my rhetoric limits here.

My thanks to Camar and Zoolkhan for having commented on my feelings here. Looking at the continuing level of debate here though I am a little disheartened that others have not either read it or taking in fully what is being said here.
And the only point raised here is from an Amarrian who simply makes a point I already stated in my statement and provided a different view, so clearly she has not read it well enough either. Still, it is not like I would expect an Amarrian, a race dedicated to ignoring other cultures and wiping them out in favour of their own, to understand the point I was making about being a true Minmatar. Or how such things as honour should transgress all boarders of duty and rank.
I still see many people arguing until they are blue in the face that Midular resigning would somehow be the end of the Republic itself. And ignoring the facts at hand that Midular has made matters worse for all free Minmatar residing in the Republic currently, showing a lack of internal leadership.
Our dislike for Midular is not based entirely on this one instance with Karishal's death. Or a broad generalisation that we expect the Republic to go to war with the Amarr. There are internal matters to the Republic that have had an adverse effect on our kin within its boarders that contribute largely to our feelings here.
And if Midular were persuing diplomatic avenues to secure the freedom of our people more aggressively, and banding together a united front of condemnations of the Amarr way from all other free factions of New Eden, then things would not have been so bad in my eyes. I might never have joined the fight to begin with if such a thing were happening to this day. Maybe even the Ushra'Khan would not have moved from the Republic in disgust of the leaders lack of action. Yet Midular has not even budged in that direction out of fear.
That is the lack of strength she has that we detest. That is the kind of strength all free Minmatar deserve in the Republic. ------

I have read your words. I did not comment at the time, as there seemed little point. Wise words need no refutation. Perhaps this was a mistake, but I felt I had spoken on this in enough other places for you to know that others agreed with much of your sentiment.
I will not say that Midular tears the Republic apart, but I will say she does not build it up. In a time not long past I had hoped to join the fleet, to become shield-bearer to the Minmatar. But now the fleet chooses to protect Minmatar by murdering them. Now my khumaak would be unwelcome in the fleet because it offends our enemies. I am young, and perhaps too proud and not wise enough. Perhaps others see some greater good in all of this, I see none.
