I have read a few threads on Nanoships, BS and such flitting around at crazy speeds, many kms per sec. I have read a lot about what should be done about them, that they should be nerfed, yadayada. Occasionally some1 suggests that these nano's are beatable, but I have yet to see some clear countermeasures with current ships and configs. So what can you do to counter a nanocurse or a nanodomi? Webbers is the first to think of, but if they fly at high speed they would zoom through the webbed area in seconds. Use webberdrones maybe, but can they catch up? I wonder. Anything else? I would really know how to counter threads before I jouin the NERFIT-horde... ----- FreeHansje

Use a couple of Sensor Dampener IIs to force them to either leave or to come into web range. They only take a week or so to train, and that includes the advanced skill, Signal Suppression, to level 4. Webifier Drones will never catch a ship that is fitted with an MWD.

Like stated before, use 3 or 4 sensor damps, or use Matari recons. You will also need a high strength Webifier and some NOS. You basically have to fit your ship specifically for the NanoBS (Usually a Domi). 2 Large smartbombs are great for clearing drones.

1x Fast inty 1x rook
or
1x huginn
= dead nanoship.
Ofcourse said ships have to be setup correctly.

You can catch a nanophoon with a Nanophoon. Huginn and a buddy will kill a nanoship. Nanoships have no tank. Also most Huginns have faction webbers i kno i do. With Dark Blood and recon 4 i get 47km 80% speed kill. thats a nanoship nightmare. Best combo iv seen in game is Huginn plus one Gal recon for that insane warp scram range.

Bunch of nos, a good tank, n killing his drones means he'll not be winning. Even with cap boosters he'll have trouble with keeping his MWD up, and he's just going to leave.
Damps fecks him up badly. He either goes away, or if extremely stupid, goes into web-range.
Any specialised webbing ship (like a hugin) means he's dead too. But you gotto back it up so it survives, and for other ships to *****the phoon, once its actually slow (atleast 2 webs). After all, it is a battleship, so even without tank-modules, it can and will kill the hug faster than he gets killed even at 0 m/s. And the hugin isn't all that great solo, or even in gangs against non-nanophoons.
So I still say the nanophoons require more to kill than any other ship, and will be able to flee when they want 9 out of 10, and kill when they want 9 out of 10. And are thus, broken. A 100-2000m mega won't kill a hyperion 9 out of 10 times. Or just be able to warp away as if it had 50 warp stabs without penalties. Nanophoon is teh broken!

All good stuff here.
Just remember that when a person goes NanoPhoon they also have to deal with its inherent weaknesses (dependance on YOUR CAP -NOS-, low DPS, low/no tank, and webbing kills them).
Use this to your advantage by either fitting heavy Nos of your own (more than 4 to counter the usual 4 NOS on Nano Phoons), sensor damps or webs.
Webs is tricky though as you'll either need the Minmatar Recon Ships or 2-3 guys in Web capable ships spread out evenly to be able to hit him with web as he orbits you.
