Occasus Vim, Ogoel Marek, and myself seek to have a parlay on certain issues involving Slavery and other similar concerns. At the request of Occasus, and as we are in agreeance with his request, we seek to have a neutral party oversee the discussions we are about to partake in. One that is neither for nor against the Empire or its adversaries.
We seek recommendations as to who the Intergalactic Community feels would be best suited for this role. We are having the discussions at www.houseofmarek.org
Occasus Vim has already intiated communications with us, and we await the neutral overseer of the discussions to arrive, whomever that will be.

Perhaps a representative from the Khanid Kingdom? I think the Kingdom is in quite the unique position, not being part of the Empire, yet retaining many Amarrian traditions. Our location on the frontier requires several pragmatic policy differences from that of the Empire, as many well know of our significant trade/technology relationship with Caldari corporations, differences in slavery policies, etc.
Just a thought, as it might prove quite the difficult proposition finding a truly neutral party on some of these issues. Perhaps take a few people from each ideological 'camp' for your discussions? Although when it comes to slavery civil discourse is usually the last order of the day; I don't hold much hope for there being much civility in discussing such things..... I don't know about you all, but it does get a little tiresome seeing the weekly "I hate slavery/death to amarr" posts. We get it. Time to move on.

Possibly then Silas Vitalia, would you be willing to oversee said discussions. They shall be taking play on our forums at www.houseofmarek.org. These discussion do not look to be that of "death to amarr!" or "death to the terrorists plaguing amarr!", but more of a intellectual and philosophical discussion between inquiring minds. Occasus has stated that he wishes to know more on our views, our S.E.P. program, and more on why we choose to practice slavery.
Occasus Vim, seemingly enough since I have spoken a few times with him here in the Intergalactic Forums, is one of calm temprement and reserve; and we look forward to hosting discussions with him at our official forums.
Occasus, if this is alright with you, of if there is another you'd with to bring as an overseer as well, by all means.
Let us start our parlay once Silas, or a possible representative from the Khanid Kingdom is present.

I look forward to this discussion. Both sides rarely use reason to forward any of their arguments and it will be enjoyable to hear a proper discussion on this topic.
I am afraid I can only be an observer in this process as my views on slavery do not allow me to be unbiased but I will be following this closely.

As the Khanid Kingdom practices in slavery, I doubt a representative from it could be entirely neutral. As the State does not engage in Slavery, but does not support the overthrow of the Amarr Empire, most likely a Caldari would be the most neutral overseer. I would be interested in participating in this position as I find the philosophical discussion of this issue to be most intriguing. _____________________________________

Seconded. Vendrin has proven to be an open minded and intelligent individual; and the State's unique political position ensures minmimal bias on slavery. ----------------------------- "Our nation, may she always be right, but our nation right or wrong" - Unknown |

Ah, Octos, I wasn't proposing myself for the role, my appologies.
I may live in the Kingdom currently, but have spent the vast majority of my life in the Empire, and my many years of service in the Imperial Navy would naturally render me rather incompatible with the idea of a neutral party. I do however feel that a Caldari representative would be perfect. Please post the results/transcripts as you see fit!
