Keep in mind that many folks pay their accounts ahead for months at a time. As such the full impact of the recent events will not be known for some time.
Some that cancel will also return over time.
It may take 6 months before the full effect is determinable.

And i'm betting that in the time it takes for the prepaid accounts to reach their end sanity will have returned to the forum populace.. 
I'm afraid that my corp is losing some people though :(, at least three or four are thinking about it :(

Its not just the issue of the BPOs, its the issue that CCP discovered the error last summer, yet did nothing about it and have been covering it up since then.
Most of us came from SWG where we saw how SOE handled the CU and NGE rollouts and to be honest the actions of CCP in the last couple weeks have really reminded us of the heavy handed tactics they used.
They don't feel CCP has been fully honest, they don't believe t20 was the only dev, or that at the very least he did it with the complacency of CCP since he wasn't fired.
Its the fact that they also didn't remove the revenue that was generated by the BPOs from the game or items made by it either.
In other words they look at it as kinda hollow. They see that the person who investigated last summer and left these BPOs in place all this time is now head of the Internal Audit division and they aren't finding that very comforting.
CCP hasn't worked well to restore the player confidence, if it gets as bad as the cancellations that happened to SWG due to the attitude shown at the time the NGE was rolled out there, then for every cancellation we see posted on the boards there will be far more that quit.
The fact also that SirMolle was not banned for posting personal information on the forums as others have been have caused them to really doubt that there is any kind of real sincere effort on CCPs efforts to address the situation. It is a clear sign of favortism and it is clear that posting such information posses a real life danger to the individual.
I am glad they have taken the steps they have, I'm just afraid its not really enough. I fully believe that the population will decrease this year, but I hope it springs back.
